GL Wants Ed To Return

Not all of the casting news out of Guiding Light is about someone leaving the show. According to setside sources, show execs are actively courting Peter Simon (ex
Ed Bauer) with the hopes that he will return to the show.
According to reports, GL execs have asked some of the show's veteran performers who worked with Simon to call him and urge him to return to the program. While the show may desperately want Simon to return, Simon has apparently declined to return on more than one occasion.
Simon played Ed from 1981 to 1984 and again from 1986 to 1996.
