Newcomer Lands Role of GL's Marina

Television newcomer Kit Paquin has landed the role of
Marina Cooper on CBS's Guiding Light. Paquin will assume the role when actress
Aubrey Dollar exits later this month.
Dollar announced late last year that she would leave Guiding Light upon the conclusion of her contract. Dollar joined the cast of Guiding Light in January 2002.
In winning the role of Marina, newcomer Paquin beat out former
The Young and the Restless star
Ashley Bashioum. Bashioum read for the role and was believed to be a frontrunner for the part.
Paquin first airs on March 5th.
