How'd they do that? Behind-the-scenes of Guiding Light's car explosion

John Driscoll's four-year run as Guiding Light's Henry "Coop" Bradshaw ended last week. The exit was preceded by a stunning car explosion, one that required quite a bit of behind-the-scenes maneuvering. How did Guiding Light pull it off?.

"Today is a good day to die," remarked John Driscoll (Coop Bradshaw) on his final day at Guiding Light.



By then, of course, the actor knew that his time on television's longest-running drama series was coming to an end. In addition to some candid thoughts on his time with Guiding Light, Driscoll also gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at exactly how the show's delved into pyrotechnics with the explosion of his car.
