Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny Santos) is headed back to Springfield. The actor will return to Guiding Light this summer. It will mark the first time in nearly four years that viewers will see the actor on screen. The return coincides with the return of Stewart's on-screen love interest, Nancy St. Alban (Michelle Bauer).

"Nancy St. Alban and Paul Anthony Stewart will make guest returns to Guiding Light this summer," a Guiding Light spokesperson confirms to Soap Central. The rep declined to say how long the pair would appear on the show.

Earlier this year, Stewart appeared in the Cleveland Play House's production of Crime and Punishment. The return to the stage was a homecoming, of sorts, for the actor, who appeared in numerous plays at the start of his career. Stewart has even appeared on Broadway as Christian in Cyrano.


Stewart first appeared as Danny in November 1998. In 2005, he and St. Alban were written out of the show together. Both performers return on Thursday, July 2.
