The youngest of three boys, Bogue was born in Minden, Nebraska. Bogue grew up Hays, Kansas and Richmond, Kentucky before graduating from Colorado College with academic honors in International Political Economics. In college, Bogue played basketball, setting the single season scoring record his senior year. An original founding member of the New Group Theater Company, Bogue started his acting career in the theater of New York City. Bogue currently resides in rural Pennsylvania with his wife, Anouk Dirkse and their son, Zebulon Jeremiah, and daughter, Zoë Chinook.
