Nico Castaņa (August 24, 2003 to May 13, 2004) Troy Kurtis joined the cast of the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light on August 14, 2003 in the role of Nico Castaña, the tough-talking street kid who reluctantly becomes entrenched in the Santos family.

A Danbury, CT native, Troy was first discovered by Bon Jovi producer Desmond Child before joining the band Menudo (a.k.a. MDO) as lead vocalist. The group's hit single, "Te Quise Olvidar," spent 5 weeks as #1 on the hot Latin Tracks Billboard Charts. Throughout his successful music career, Kurtis has performed with such artists as Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera and Celia Cruz.

Troy currently resides in New York.
