Tognoni to end six-year stay in Llanview

The changes at One Life to Live continue. Just one week after the announcement that a plethora of former stars would return to Llanview, the show is hit with another sizeable loss.
Gina Tognoni (Kelly Cramer) has announced that she will not renew her contract when it expires in July. Tognoni has been with One Life to Live since 1995 when she created the role of Kelly Cramer.
There has been speculation for some time that the actress would leave the show. Earlier this year, there were rumors that Tognoni was up for the to-be-recast role of Carly Corinthos on General Hospital. The role has since been filled by another actress.
Even before the General Hospital rumors, Tognoni mentioned in an interview that she was considering a move outside of daytime television. The actress later reconsidered, reportedly because she was intrigued by the Kevin/Kelly/Joey love triangle.
ABC declined to comment on Tognoni's contract, so an official word on whether or not the role will be recast has not been made public. One setside source says that it's unlikely that the role will be recast. Since Tognoni's contract doesn't expire for several months, the manner in which the role is vacated and a final date have not yet been set.
