John Brotherton kicked out of the OLTL family

After just two years with One Life to Live, insiders are saying that John Brotherton has been let go. Brotherton's work on OLTL marked his daytime in daytime television. Prior to 2007, Brotherton appeared in a primetime series as well as several movies.
In advance of several high-profile returns to One Life to Live comes word that John Brotherton (Jared Banks) has been let go by the ABC soap. Brotherton joined the cast of the ABC soap August 2007, and his alter ego quickly went on to become a prominent face in Llanview.


Though a network rep has yet to confirm it, the news of Brotherton's immiment exit is being reported by Soap Opera Network.


Prior to joining the OLTL cast, Brotherton appeared on the CW's primetime show, The Game. The actor also appeared in a handful of feature films, including Gone, Surprise, Surprise, and Taken by Force. In addition to his on-screen work, Brotherton wrote, produced, and directed the 2007 short, Smith and Mike on a Tuesday, a project has also starred in.


A final airdate has not yet been determine for Brotherton, but expect to see a very dramatic exit for Jared at the hands of another familiar character just in time for November Sweeps.
