Matthew Metzger joined the cast of One Life to Live on August 23, 2004 in the role of Duke Buchanan. Viewers last saw Duke in 1994 when he moved to Texas with his mother Lee Ann Demerest (played then by Yasmine Bleeth).
Mr. Metzger was a 2003 and 2004 American Idol contestant. In 2003, he made it to the top 48 contestants and in the 2004 season, he was a wild card finalist. He was born in Peoria, IL and later moved to Hudson, OH where he attended high school. He received a B.S. in Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, OH. In 2004, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music and acting career.
He enjoys singing, playing the guitar and competitive sports including baseball, basketball and football.
He resides in Manhattan with his wife Natalie.
