New Character to Be Recast

According to a show source, the role of Valerie will be recast. Ebonie Smith originated the role last year.
The source tells Soap Opera Central that Valerie will become a more integral part in the show's story. As is traditionally the case when a character is bumped from recurring to contract status, the role will be recast to fit the new demands for the character.
Newcomer Alanna Boatwright will take over the role of Valerie starting next month.
