NBC announced today that its search for a new
Ethan Winthrop has now concluded.

Newcomer Eric Martsolf will take over the role of Ethan Winthrop next month. The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native will assume the role from
Travis Schuldt who
earlier this year announced that he'd be leaving Passions to pursue other projects.
While a newcomer to the world of daytime television, Martsolf has an accomplished career on stage. Martsolf appeared as Pharoah in the Osmond National Touring Company of
Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He also played Danny Zuko in
Grease and Professor Higgins in
My Fair Lady in regional theatre productions. Martsolf also shared stage time with country superstar Dolly Parton at her Dollywood theme park. Martsolf's experience in not, however, limited to the stage. He has appeared in the independent films
The Cheater and
Omum, as well
If Lucy Fell.
Martsolf tapes his first Passions scenes on June 3rd. He'll make his first on-air appearance on July 8th.
