Eve tries to head off a fight with Whitney by telling her that she and Julian are just supportive friends and are not having an affair.

Whitney attacks Eve saying she trusts what she sees, not what Eve tells her. She wants an explanation -- right now! Eve dances around the truth and can't tell her what she wants to know. Whitney takes Eve's silence as an admission of guilt. Theresa is very sympathetic toward Ethan and Gwen and tells Fox she wishes she could do something to help them. Little does she know that Gwen and Rebecca are plotting to steal custody of little Ethan away from Theresa, permanently.

Theresa and Fox continue to talk about Gwen and Ethan. Fox wonders if Theresa is still hung up on Ethan, but Theresa assures him she could never get past Ethan's treatment of her, no matter what. Meanwhile, Rebecca comes up with another way to make it seem as if Theresa is not a fit mother.

TC sees how viciously Whitney is attacking her mother and tries to tell her that she needs to have more respect for Eve. That just about sends Whitney over the edge as she alludes to Eve's betrayal with Julian, sure that her father wouldn't be defending Eve if he knew what she knows. A furious Whitney gets ready to tell her whole family about her "sainted" mother.

Antonio feels that he can't be a member of the Lopez-Fitzgerald family any longer because no one supports his relationship with Sheridan. Poor Sheridan thinks this is all her fault and goes to the family home to do damage control. What she doesn't count on is seeing Luis in a state of undress and how that would make her feel.

Gwen works Ethan to get him to warm to the idea of adopting a baby. She's counting on his change of attitude to help her convince him to let them adopt little Ethan. Meanwhile, Rebecca makes everything think that Theresa is abusing little Ethan and is an unfit mother.

Luis is still upset over being separated from Sheridan, and his life seems like it is falling apart. Luis talks to his family about how nothing is going right for him.

To make matters worse, Luis is suspended from his job because of his problems with Antonio. Chad realizes Whitney is upset about her mother and tries to tell her that she should try to concentrate on herself and not on her mother and father's marriage. Chad thinks it's time Whitney started to think about reviving her singing career. Together, they go to a recording studio.

Julian offers sympathetic ear and shoulder to an upset Eve. Julian tells Eve he'll always be there for her no matter what. Rebecca points out that Theresa could be a danger to little Ethan and makes another step in her quest to take the child away from her. Gwen observes as Rebecca blackmails Julian into helping her bring grief to the Lopez-Fitzgeralds.

Whitney sings her heart out at the studio and cuts her demo reel. Liz is still trying to get back at Eve and wants to use Whitney to do just that. Eve is concerned that Whitney is going to ruin her life. Liz carries through on her vow to upset Eve's marriage and life when she hires Whitney to sing at The Blue Note.

Luis's bad luck seems to be spreading. He is not the only one to lose his job. Now, his entire family is out of work as well. They have a family meeting to see how they can pull together to get through this crisis. Kay is on hand to comfort Miguel who is quite impressed by Kay's sudden personality change.

Rebecca makes it seem as if Little Ethan is danger and this is all captured on a hidden camera. Theresa is horrified when she sees it. Rebecca makes Ethan think that it is in the best interest of his child to keep Theresa and her family as far away from the Lopez-Fitzgeralds as possible.

Liz sees Whitney rehearsing at the club and thinks back to Eve's youthful days when she made so many mistakes.

She assumes Whitney will follow in her mother's footsteps. Meanwhile, when Eve has to take care of a violent patient, Julian has to come in to rescue her. Sheridan assures Antonio that she will be faithful to him. While Alistair is listening to and watching her every move, Sheridan confirms to Dr. Ackland that she no longer has feelings for Luis. Alistair keeps goading Antonio to resent and distrust Luis.

Rebecca brags to Gwen that they are very close to getting everything they want. Soon Theresa will be out of their lives and Gwen will have little Ethan to call her own. Meanwhile, Ethan comes to the Lopez-Fitzgerald home to tell the family they're being evicted. Sheridan assures Antonio that she will be faithful to him.
