A look back at the worst stories, characters, and news of 2011. Soap Central Live airs Fridays at 6PM Eastern/3PM Pacific.
As 2011 draws to a close, it's time to look back at the stories and news from the year gone by that we wish we could forget.
Stories of poisoned berries, doppelgangers, and death by volcano gave many viewers a headache. The Two Scoops columnist from
soapcentral
.com offer their picks for the worst stories and moments of the year gone by as part of a preview of their Best and Worst year-end columns.
And on-screen grumbles aren't all our columnists have to talk about. What a long, strange year it's been for the world of soaps. ABC announced the cancellation of two of its venerable soaps, All My Children and One Life to Live, and rumors of other cancellations swirled. Just when all hope looked gone, a company called Prospect Park swooped in and announced it would save the two canceled soaps. By the end of the year, though, that promise seemed too big to deliver.
It's an hour of purging the bad and getting ready for a year of new beginnings in a laugh-filled hourlong special edition of Soap Central Live.
