Prolific scribe Patricia Falken Smith died on May 19th in Los Angeles. She was 75.

Smith served as a head writer for Days of our Lives, Guiding Light and General Hospital. Smith was aboard GH during much of the Luke and Laura heyday. Her stay at DAYS lasted for 12 years.

Smith received several Daytime Emmy nominations for writing during her various soap stints and is given credit for helping GH jump to the top of the ratings in the 1980s.
