Soap fans now have a new home to discuss the soaps, their families and anything else of interest to daytime drama fans around the world. The #1-ranked soap opera web site, soapcentral.com, has added a Blog feature that allows fans to interact in ways never before imagined.
Already the top-ranked soap opera web site on the Internet,
soapcentral
.com has taken another step toward becoming an even more comprehensive site for fans of daytime dramas: the 12-year-old site has launched blogs where fans can dish about soaps and anything else that comes to mind.
The blogs, found at
blogs.soapcentral.com, are essentially an online journal where fans can discuss their favorite soaps, the characters that they love to hate, their kids or anything else that comes to mind.
"I have to admit that I didn't understand the whole concept of blogs," said Dan J Kroll, founder of
soapcentral
.com, in a statement. "I couldn't understand what a blog offered that a message board for example, didn't already provide. Now after launching the blog site, I understand that a blog is more about having your own little piece of the Internet to call home."
Fans can use their existing
soapcentral
.com login information to access the blogs. New users are able to register completely
free of charge and will then have access to all interactive features of the soapcentral.com site, including the blogs and message boards.
The blogs.
soapcentral
.com is a
joint partnership between
soapcentral
.com and MindSay, a Virginia-based company that provides solutions that enable customers to maintain their own user-generated content and social networking websites.
