Introducing blogs.soapcentral.com

Since not everyone is familiar with the blogging process, we've created a series of tutorials to help bring you up to speed on the process and to make the process a little clearer. This first tutorial explains the layout of the main blogs.soapcentral.com page and the options you have on this page.
To help make navigating the newly redesigned
soapcentral
.com web site, we've created this brief tutorial explaining some of the changes and the new features added to the site. The image displayed below is a smaller version of what each of our new pages looks like. The circled numbers on the image correspond to an explanation that appears to the right of the image.
1. Our blogs section features the same familiar look that you've come to known from the rest of the site. Each of the pages in the
soapcentral
.com site has been made more welcoming with a colorful new logo and randomly generated photos of your favorite soap stars. Our brand new soap menu gives you easy access to the most popular features in each of our soap sections. Simply select the News, Daily Recaps, Scoop, Message Board or Blogs option from
anywhere within the site and you will instantly be linked to that information.
2. Find easy access to all of the top blog features in one spot.
Update Blog allows you to access your blog and make new entries or edit existing entries.
In Box taps into your personal network of friends for easy access to recently updated blog entries.
My Profile allows you to share more about yourself with other soap fans. Never miss the latest breaking soap news. Video & Pictures lets you review some of the recent videos and photographs that other bloggers have opted to share.

3. Find bloggers who share a common interest -- or just see who is out there. The search feature will allow you to browse users' profiles to find a specific interest. Find bloggers that like the same characters, share the same hobbies or live near you with ease.
4. We select and spotlight different bloggers every time you access the blogs site. Find new friends and explore new interests by checking out these featured fans.
5. The recent uploads section features videos and photos uploaded by soap fans from around the world.
6. Top Tags tell you what the hot topics are on the site. When a member enters a blog entry, they can assign that entry keywords -- or "tags" -- to tell people what their entry is about. The Top Tags show you the most talked about topics on the blog site. Tip: When entering tags for your entries, try to pick tags that are common or already in use. Also, be sure to check the spelling. When entering a tag that is more than one word, place those multiple words in quotation marks. For example "another world"
7. Recent Updates shows you the most recently entered blog entries. The ten most recent entries are shown by default, but there is a link below those ten entries to let you see even more of what's new.
8. Looking for something specific? Search the site or the web for your search terms.
9. The footer of the main page has a wealth of information to help you navigate the site.
- Under My Account, you have access to your personal Inbox -- a place where you can easily find all of your friends' blog updates. You can also access your account settings, request a forgotten password or log out of the site.
- Under Blog, you can update your blog, edit old entries or customize the look of your blog
- Under Community, you can check in on all of your friends, see who lists you as a friend and much more.
