Is there an episode of your favorite ABC soap that you wish you could see one more time? Soon, you may get the chance. ABC tells Soap Central that it has plans to occasionally air classic episodes of its three soaps to help refresh viewers' memories -- and to give fans one more chance to see a favorite episode.

ABC's What If... series seems to have sparked a bit of nostalgia and fantasy among fans of All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital. For fans who've wished that there was a way to watch classic episodes from the past, ABC executives have heard you -- and they're going to do their part to grant your wish.

"Fans have often expressed the desire to see their favorite episodes of our soaps," an ABC spokesperson told Soap Central. "And beginning on August 10th, in conjunction with Brenda Barrett returning to General Hospital, ABC Daytime will eventize the moment and air three episodes featuring the men (Sonny, Jax and Jason) in Brenda's life."

As previously reported, ABC is planning to preempt its normal daytime lineup on August 10, the day before Vanessa Marcil's big return to General Hospital, with a three-hour Brendathon -- three classic episodes featuring Brenda and the men in her life. One of the episodes dates back to 1996.

The special flashbacks aren't just being reserved for GH fans.

"Throughout the year, ABC Daytime will occasionally encore episodes that will enhance current story and give fans the opportunity to see episodes they really loved and have wanted to see again," the spokesperson added.

There's no immediate word on which additional classic episodes might be airing in the future.
