The cast of The Brady Bunch is reuniting tonight on HGTV's A Very Brady Renovation, but with so many of them having starred on soap operas, it can be considered a very soapy reunion, as well.

We could tell you a story of a lovely lady who was bringing up three very lovely girls, but instead, we'll tell you an even lovelier tale: the cast of The Brady Bunch is reuniting tonight for an HGTV special called A Very Brady Renovation.

The show is set to follow the classic sitcom's stars as they renovate the inside of the show's famous house whose exterior was used to represent the Brady home. And while that is exciting in and of itself, the HGTV project serves up even more fun for soap opera fans. After all, many members of The Brady Bunch cast have soap opera roots, as well.

Maureen McCormick, also known as Marcia Brady, played Passions' Rebecca Hotchkiss in 2000; Eve Plumb, who played Jan Brady, appeared as Days of our Lives' Dora in 2008 and All My Children's June Landau in 2003; Susan Olsen, also known as Cindy Brady, starred as The Young and the Restless' Liza Morton in 2010; Barry Williams, who played Greg Brady, took on the role of General Hospital's Hannibal in 1984; and Christopher Knight, who is known as Peter Brady, played The Bold and the Beautiful's Dr. Andrews from 2010 to 2018.

A Very Brady Renovation will see all of the above stars along with Mike Lookinland (Bobby Brady) work with HGTV designers Drew Scott, Jonathan Scott, and Lara Spencer to turn the inside of the 1970s North Hollywood home into what the set looked like during the series' run. In tonight's extended premiere episode, the Brady family has an emotional reunion at 11222 Dilling Street before commencing demolition (as seen in the sneak peek here).

Watch for A Very Brady Renovation tonight, September 9, at 9/8C on HGTV, and don't forget to let us know what you think about the retro renovation action in the Comments section below.

UPDATE (September 10, 2019): The premiere delivered of A Very Brady Renovation delivered boffo ratings for HGTV. The network tallied 3.36 million viewers, the biggest audience on cable outside of Monday Night Football's debut on ESPN. Overall, it was the highest-rated show for HGTV in two years.
