Quick Catch-Up for the Week of July 29, 2013

Zach took Miranda dress shopping and promised to accompany her to the gala. Zach arranged for a top-notch attorney to represent Jesse and then bailed Jesse out of jail. Jesse's attorney, Sullivan, and Lea worked out a deal that would require Jesse to resign as chief of police in exchange for dropping the charges against Jesse. Lea tried to explain why she had done what she had, but Zach insisted that she had chosen her job over Jesse's family. Dr. Anders explained that it would take time to schedule an abortion for Cassandra, so Colby used the Chandler name to expedite the process. Angie tried to be supportive when she learned that Cassandra had terminated the pregnancy, but Cassandra suspected that her mother was simply repeating what Angie had been told to say. Pete managed to persuade Celia to save a dance for him at the gala. Colby convinced Celia to have a one-of-a-kind dress made for the gala, but then secretly made some adjustments to Celia's measurements when the dressmaker wasn't looking. Cara and David talked about their past. David was pleased when Cara acknowledged that their love had been real.

Brooke thought Katie was beginning to trust again when she asked Brooke to babysit Will. Katie, however, had hidden nanny cams around the house and invited Bill over with the hope of discovering how Bill and Brooke behaved while alone. Eric warned Rick that he'd lose his position if sales didn't improve, and Caroline, who'd turned over a new leaf, offered to help Rick in exchange for a weekend getaway. Wyatt agreed to stay at the cliff house with Bill and Liam. Steffy again decided that she'd only accept a divorce, but Hope insisted that Liam force Steffy into an annulment. Liam caught Wyatt kissing Hope and punched Wyatt in the face.

Sonny could not forgive Adrienne, but Will seemed more understanding because he knew that she had been trying to protect Sonny. Chad told Justin that he had known about the video. E.J. tried to give Sami hope and promised her that he would find a way to get her out of jail. Lucas and Will's love and support touched Sami. Melinda forced Abe to testify against Sami so that the judge would deny her bail. Kayla found a discrepancy in an autopsy report that might help with Sami's case. Marge asked Rafe to help her get justice for her husband. Maggie told Nick that he was not dealing with what happened to him. Rafe had a serious talk with Nick. Kate asked Kayla for special protection for Rafe for fear that Stefano would try to harm him again. Will worried that he was holding Sonny back. Cameron gave Chad bad news about the results of his CT scan. Chad decided to keep his medical condition a secret. Stefano vowed to Chad that he had not sent Bernardi to murder Rafe. J.J. used Lucas to get his way and then sweet-talk Jennifer. J.J. and Nicole clashed. Theresa tried to get closer to Daniel, but her efforts failed. Eric asked Hope if she thought that Nicole had feelings for him. Kristen prevented Daniel's detective from learning that she had been in Eric's hotel room the night that Eric became ill.

Rafe overheard Molly admit that she intended to give T.J. another chance, so Rafe told her that it was a mistake because Rafe was the right guy for Molly. Silas revealed that he had found incipient cells in Franco's tissue samples, so Franco couldn't donate bone marrow to Danny. Alexis turned to Kevin for help, so Kevin put her under hypnosis. Alexis recalled that Sam's father's name was Julian. Derek Wells arrived in Port Charles and threatened to shut down Crimson if Connie didn't provide him with a big story to increase circulation. Connie overheard Morgan confess to Sonny that Kiki was not a Quartermaine, so she decided to use the scandal to save her beloved fashion magazine. Duke was certain that Ava was related to the Jerome crime family, so he shared his suspicions with Anna. Anna and Duke paid Sonny a visit to find out if the Jerome crime family had become active again. Ava met with Derek, who was revealed to be Ava's notorious brother, Julian Jerome. Tracy's attempt to unseat A.J. failed when Alice and Kiki voted for A.J. Michael agreed to be Morgan's best man. Britt admitted that she felt guilty that the biological father of her child didn't know about her pregnancy. Luke enlisted Holly's help to track down Jerry. Silas ran a secret paternity test to determine if Kiki was his daughter.

Matthew became concerned when he spotted Dani spending time with Arturo. Dani insisted that Arturo was lonely and needed someone to talk to, but Matthew's fears grew when he realized that Arturo had given Dani diamond earrings. Michelle caused friction between Matthew and his roommates when she complained about the way that Jeffrey and Dani treated her. Jeffrey kissed Destiny. Clint turned violent when he showed up drunk at Shelter and was refused entry. Viki made it clear that Clint's antics wouldn't change her mind. Bo decided to arrest Clint when Clint threatened to drive drunk. Kate continued to push Jack away because she knew that he was being followed. Jack opened up to David about Kate. Cutter admitted that he preferred the peace and quiet that Natalie offered to his hectic lifestyle at the club. Todd received an envelope with an imprint of the tattoo on the front. The envelope contained a note warning Todd that Victor had been captured and instructing Todd to disappear if Todd wanted to keep his family safe. Blair was heartbroken as she begged Todd not to leave.

Leslie and Neil went to Evanston to investigate his connection to Rose, and a bartender recognized Neil. Hilary offered to quit her job to avoid more scandalous blog posts, but Cane and Lily insisted that Hilary stay on board. Hilary continued to monitor Cane and Lily. Tyler told Abby about his and Lily's attraction, and Tyler and Abby grew closer. Michael rescued Lauren from Carmine, but Carmine escaped. Carmine vowed never to give up on Lauren. Kevin covertly erased the evidence against Michael, and the charges against Michael were dismissed. Michael and Lauren made love. Fen was arrested for stealing drugs. Phyllis went into convulsions while trying to tell Jack about Sharon and the paternity test, and Phyllis lapsed into a coma. Phyllis' family clashed over whether or not to send Phyllis to an experimental treatment facility in Georgia, but eventually everyone agreed that it was the best thing for Phyllis. Jack slipped the engagement ring on Phyllis' finger and promised to wait for her. Nick and Avery postponed their wedding. Sharon struggled with her guilt. Noah suspected that Sharon had gone off her medication. Billy moved in with Jack, and he suggested that Victoria and Johnny move back into their home. Billy hired Dylan to recreate Victoria's childhood bookcase, and Chelsea objected to Dylan taking the job. Chelsea went into labor. Melanie was disappointed with Adam's glib reaction to her sexual harassment claim. Melanie told Paul that Adam had raped her, and Adam was arrested.
