Quick Catch-Up for the Week of August 19, 2013

Dixie talked to Dr. Anders about Tad. David spent time with Oliver at the hospital following Oliver's seizure from a peanut allergy. Cara debated telling David the truth about Oliver but ultimately decided against it because she couldn't trust David. Colby was hurt when Adam failed to spend time with her before leaving town. JR assured his sister that she hadn't missed out on anything because Adam was a "heartless bastard." Colby and JR's resentment against Brooke grew. Brooke assumed that Adam had put the winning bid in for the necklace that she had admired, but she later discovered that Dimitri had been the one to purchase it for her. Dimitri leaned in to kiss Brooke, but she pulled back and reminded Dimitri that she loved Adam. AJ was shocked when a syringe fell out of JR's jacket pocket. JR tried to defend his actions, but AJ contended that JR was the same liar and addict that AJ had known growing up. Cara confronted JR about the prescription pad that he had stolen from her. Celia asked Heather about AJ, so Heather confided that Heather and AJ were destined for each other. Celia had a nightmare about the man from her visions, so Dixie agreed to help Celia get to the root of the visions and dreams. Colby enlisted Opal's help to ruin Celia's date with Pete.

Bill heard Katie out but insisted upon a divorce. He showed up in Brooke's house in nothing but a towel and proclaimed that they were starting their new life together. Wyatt told his mother that he'd decided to go after everything he thought he deserved as a Spencer, including Hope. Hope accepted Liam's invitation to move in with him and Wyatt. Rick and Caroline's risky rebranding show received an unusually quiet reception from the buyers and the press. Thomas and Thorne salivated at their chance to take over Forrester, and they pressured Eric to render his decision about Rick's job.

Jennifer reassured Daniel that she was not pregnant and that Nicole had misunderstood what had happened. Kristen later told Jennifer that she was not pregnant. Sami and E.J. fought about Rafe. Rafe was upset when his physical therapist told him that he had a long road to recovery. Chad asked Abigail to be his date for the club opening. J.J. continued to make Jennifer feel guilty about Jack so that she would not get back together with Daniel. Victor convinced Marlena to help him break up Brady and Kristen. Marlena told Victor that she had learned about something that they could use to take down Kristen. Will and Sonny attended the club's grand opening. Cameron worried about Chad's health after Chad was injured in a club brawl. Victor gave Nick his walking papers. Gabi found comfort with Nick, and they made love. Nick wondered if he still had a future with Gabi. Theresa pursued Daniel, to no avail, and then she made a date with Vargas. Theresa and Vargas' date had a bad ending. Thanks to Theresa's scheming, Vargas was sent back to prison. Hope questioned Theresa about Vargas and warned her to clean up her act. E. J. had Bernardi's bank statements fudged in order to help Sami. Kate confronted Stefano about what he had tried to do to Rafe. Melinda offered Sami a reduced sentence if she would agree to turn in E.J. and Stefano. J.J. walked in on Daniel and Jennifer and saw them kissing.

What happened during the week of August 19, 2013

Connie overheard Julian on the phone and quickly figured out that Derek Wells was really Julian Jerome. A.J. fell off the wagon and made his way to Crimson to confront Connie with a gun. Connie pleaded for her life, but A.J. accused Connie of destroying his life. Sonny went to Crimson to talk to Connie but was horrified when he found her bleeding on the floor from a single gunshot wound. Alexis and Sam learned that Derek was a bone marrow match for Danny. Alexis confided to Derek/Julian about Sam's father. Julian was shaken when he realized that he might be Sam's father. Ellie told Spinelli that he was the father of Maxie's baby girl. Spinelli felt betrayed by what Ellie had done. Maxie woke up from surgery and asked to see her daughter. Mac and Felicia tried to explain that the baby was Dante and Lulu's biological child, but Maxie insisted that she had given birth to her own daughter with Spinelli. Dr. Obrecht offered to wake Robert up from the coma if Holly allowed the evil doctor to escape. Britt reached out to Nikolas for help when she was arrested. Kiki told Franco that he was not her biological father. Morgan continued to lie to Kiki about when he had learned the truth about her paternity. Ava decided to keep Morgan's secret.

Carl spared Dorian the sting of public humiliation by bidding on her portrait during the Man of the Year gala. Dani and Michelle traded heated words. Michelle complained to Matthew, so Matthew ordered Dani to leave Michelle alone. Matthew made a point of telling T�a about Dani's date, Arturo. T�a called Arturo a predator and told Dani that if she wasn't careful, Dani would end up like Briana. Dani returned to Arturo's suite, and the two kissed. Bo and Nora were disappointed when they noticed that Jeffrey and Destiny had attended the gala together because it dashed their hopes for a romance between Matthew and Destiny. Matthew caught Michelle in another lie. Natalie was furious when Nikki bragged that Cutter had been "banging" Nikki for months and didn't intend to stop. Clint showed up drunk at the gala and stumbled to the podium to take the Man of the Year trophy from Bo. Clint turned violent and had to be restrained by paramedics. Cutter demanded to know why Diego had let Clint into the club, so Diego revealed that Clint had given him $100,000. Natalie screamed in terror when she saw a needle-wielding Allison Perkins in Clint's hospital room.

Murphy announced that Katherine had died peacefully in her sleep after she'd completed her travels. The citizens of Genoa City grieved Katherine's death. Murphy presented final letters from Katherine to Katherine's closest loved ones. Jill and Nikki planned Katherine's memorial. Noah became suspicious of Sharon's behavior when he found her traffic citation, and he conveyed his concerns to Nick. Nick and Avery decided to proceed with their wedding plans, and Faith acted out. Sharon plotted to stop the wedding. Avery warned Sharon to back off of Nick. Summer was torn between the Abbotts and the Newmans, but she reached out to Jack. Summer agreed to be Avery's maid of honor, but she later contemplated how to get out of it. Carmine stalked Lauren, but the police were unable to track Carmine down. Michael threatened Carmine's life. Adam was affected when he held Connor. Dylan ordered Adam to stay away from Chelsea and Connor. Chelsea turned down Adam's request to be a character witness. Adam attempted to make peace with Melanie, but she made a public scene. Victor objected to Victoria's reunion with Billy. Adam suggested that he and Victor take over Chancellor Industries, but Victor refused to dishonor Katherine's memory. Tyler agreed to return to Jabot, and he hired Noah as a photographer. Hilary confided in Cane about her mother's death, and they hugged. Lily's jealousy of Hilary grew. Kevin traced calls from Anne to a phone registered to Newman Enterprises. Hilary secretly conspired with Mason.
