Though Quinn dreamed of stabbing Brooke, Quinn sanely asserted that she wouldn't be Deacon's second choice. Deacon assured Quinn that she was his first choice, and Quinn demanded that Deacon and Brooke cease their sobriety partnership. Carter was disillusioned upon learning about Maya's past. Struggling with his own sense of betrayal, Carter agonized over whether to disclose the information to Rick. Rick coaxed Brooke back to work full-time. Ridge assumed Brooke was trying to return to his orbit, but he didn't have a heart for her anymore. Brooke insisted that she was supporting Rick, and Ridge would need her, too, once he finally dumped Caroline.

Melanie was close to proving that Theresa had been pregnant with Brady's child. Brady asked Melanie what she had been doing in hospital lab. Daniel had harsh words for Jennifer. Eve learned Daniel knew she'd had an affair with J.J. Paige found the jacket of the man she thought had slept with her mother. Paige questioned Eve about the jacket. Victor threatened Will. Nicole and Xander met for a drink. Serena tried to tell Eric the truth about her past. Xander and Victor had more going on than uncle and nephew. Kate was not happy Lucas was with Adrienne. Hope questioned Rafe about Clyde. Sonny read the article Will had written about Paul's birth father. Will made John believe the worst about Paul. Sonny told Paul his mother had lied to him about his father. Marlena talked to Tori about her past with John. John was shocked to learn Paul might be his son. Chad continued to move in on Abigail by causing problems for Ben. Ben asked for Clyde's help.

Morgan and Kiki's plan to discredit Michael succeeded. At Morgan's urging, an Access Port Charles reporter followed Michael to record Michael confronting Sonny in Metro Court's lobby. During the argument with Sonny, Michael accidently knocked over Avery's stroller. Avery was unharmed, but CPS removed Avery from Michael's custody and temporarily placed her in Kiki's care. Someone slipped into Avery's hospital room while the baby was left unsupervised during a checkup. Maxie agreed to give Spinelli another chance. Moments later, Nathan showed up on Maxie's doorstep to confess that he wanted her back. Nikolas paid Hayden a visit to challenge her about being Jake's wife. Hayden admitted she had lied then seduced Nikolas. Elizabeth agreed to reconcile with Ric when he assured her that he would not lie to her again. Spencer tried to give Jason's wedding ring to Emma, but she refused to accept it. Spencer was hurt and threw the ring, which rolled under Patrick's sofa. Ned confronted Franco about blackmailing Olivia, so Franco agreed to leave Olivia alone in exchange for Ned's shares of ELQ. Valerie blamed Luke for Patricia's death and vowed vengeance, but Dante managed to talk Valerie out of harming Luke.

Sage moved out and demanded a divorce from "Gabriel." The Bingham inheritance was turned over to the Better Days Foundation. Posing as Gabriel, Adam admitted his feelings for Chelsea. Adam supported Chelsea through Connor's health crisis while Billy was out of town. Michael tried to push Lauren toward Cane. Hilary slept with A.D.A. Winston Mobley, and she overheard him telling Leslie it would take extraordinary circumstances to get a plea deal for Neil. Devon offered to set Neil up with a new life overseas, but Neil vowed to stay and fight. Victor arranged for someone to duplicate a set of fingerprints. Jack received multiple mysterious phone calls, and Victor ordered someone to stop calling Jack. Ashley learned John was not her biological father. Abby discovered Courtney's body in the armoire at the Abbott cabin, and Courtney was clutching a note that warned to stop digging. The young adults confessed everything about Austin's murder to Paul, who ordered them to act like they were still hiding the truth. Paul was suspicious of Dylan's involvement in the murders. Sharon remembered seeing the driver throw something out of the car window during the snowstorm. Dylan found a tire iron in the woods, and he asked Avery to run forensic tests on it. The tests indicated that the tire iron had traces of Austin's blood and Sharon's fingerprints. Avery pushed Joe away when he kissed her, and he fell off a balcony.
