Thomas moved into Ridge's loft to avoid family tension. Caroline felt tension when family time with Thomas was cut short for his date with Veronica. Valentin demanded compensation for growing up in squalor and threatened to kill the hostages unless Nikolas signed over Nikolas' entire inheritance. Despite Nikolas' cooperation, Valentin took aim at Ava. Nikolas intervened and struggled for the gun, but Valentin gained the upper hand and shot Nikolas. Nikolas stumbled back and tumbled over the balcony. Kevin was shot taking a bullet meant for Laura. Dillon and Darby went out on a date and slept together. Kiki and Morgan spent an intimate evening together. Kristina visited Parker, who confessed that her marriage was over. Kristina spent the night with Parker. Sonny saw Kristina and Parker kissing. Finn reached out to Sonny for help. Sonny agreed to provide Finn access to the lifesaving medication in exchange for a favor. Carly's search for Josslyn's kidney donor led to an encounter with a scam artist. Ric was stunned when Elizabeth asked Franco out on a date. Alexis took a pregnancy test, which turned out negative. Julian took steps to remain in the hospital to avoid being arraigned and sent to jail. Naomi suffered panic attacks when she heard both Heather and Jeff Webber's names. Simon cleared Ashley's name by telling the FDA that he'd altered the results of the drug trial. Stitch and Abby inched closer, but the distance between them grew when she mentioned trying to have another baby. Jack learned that Phyllis had lied about taking the corporate jet to go to Montreal, but she fibbed that she'd flown commercial. Victoria angrily confronted Billy about selling Brash & Sassy. Billy and Cane traded punches when Billy learned that Cane and Jill had acquired the company in a hostile takeover. Adam accepted a plea bargain, and he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Dylan continued to look for evidence that Adam had been framed. Mariah planned to move out of Sharon's house, but Sharon convinced her to stay. Chelsea threatened Victor with a scalpel in an effort to get his confession on tape, but she was disappointed when her plan didn't work. Victor vowed to help Adam get out of prison once his own sentence was reduced. Nikki, Victoria, Nick, and Abby testified on Victor's behalf at his appeal hearing. Phyllis interrupted the hearing to speak as one of Victor's victims.
