Thomas came clean about his feelings, Steffy and Liam felt no regret, and Paris made an important observation

Thomas was mortified with himself for kissing the mannequin and believing it had been real. In separate conversations, Thomas confided in Hope and Ridge the truth about his feelings for Hope. He loved Hope, but he respected her marriage. Liam and Steffy agreed that they'd thought they'd been about to reunite the night they'd had sex. Though they didn't regret what they had done, Steffy insisted that Liam owed it to her to forget that the night had ever happened. Paris observed how in sync Zende and Zoe were.

Joey returned home, and he convinced Kayla to let Tripp join them for family dinner. Xander begged Sarah to steer clear of Ava, but Sarah insisted she was the only one to get close to Philip after he had kissed her. Claire agreed to be Charlie's girlfriend. Allie asked Belle to help her sue Tripp in civil court. Ava accused Charlie of raping Allie. Ava refused to keep Charlie's secret, so he kidnapped Ava. Claire told Allie about her boyfriend. Jennifer worried Jack was still with Kate, but Lucas proved her fears were unfounded. Brady and Chloe bonded at work. Tony and Anna returned to Salem for Christmas. Gwen took Jake's gift for Kate and pretended it was for Abigail. To protect his relationship with Kate, Jake lied and said the gift was for Gwen. Rolf apologized to Kristen and Chad.

Taggert's secret was out, Laura learned she was related to Martin and Cyrus, and Sonny and Julian fell from a footbridge

Brick gave Sonny and Jason a lead on Julian as a wounded Julian attempted to flee to Canada. Jason was forced to deal with Cyrus' hit man as Sonny gave chase to Julian. Sonny caught up to Julian on a footbridge, where the encounter turned deadly. Jason arrived as the footbridge collapsed, taking Sonny and Julian with it. Laura was shocked to learn that Martin Grey and Cyrus Renault were her paternal brothers. Martin revealed that Cyrus was responsible for Gordon Grey's death. Curtis was hurt when Jordan admitted that she had helped Taggert stage his death. Portia and Trina were reunited with Taggert at the police station. Mac arrested Taggert to keep Taggert safe. Ryan was deemed to be in a vegetative state. Alexis was arrested when Tracy framed her for driving under the influence. Scott and Liesl were able to keep Franco from discovering that Dr. Kirk had been killed. Liesl informed Franco that she could treat his brain tumor. Maxie set ground rules for Sasha to remain at Deception, which Sasha agreed to. Michael and Chase cleared the air between them.

Lily discovered that Alyssa was the mystery witness in Billy's case. Billy confronted Alyssa and was hauled back to jail for violating his bail. Billy agreed to Amanda's terms if she resumed being his attorney. Lily sneaked into Alyssa's room and found a pair of shooting gloves. Lily later learned that Alyssa was an expert markswoman. Lily tipped Rey off about the potential evidence implicating Alyssa, and he retrieved the gloves. Billy experienced a nightmare while locked up, including a visit from Delia and a glimpse into a troubled Johnny's future. Billy was released when forensics proved that Alyssa had fired the gun that had been used to shoot Chance. Victoria's jealousy flared when Billy credited Lily for standing by him. Theo took Summer's advice about his lawsuit to heart and warned her about Sally. Theo accepted the Abbotts' offer in Paris and agreed to drop the lawsuit. Summer and Sally clashed at the office. Summer told Kyle to steer clear of Sally. Lauren encouraged Sally to work her way up the ladder at Fenmore's. Nina presented Abby and Chance with a Christmas angel that Katherine had given Chance when he'd been a young boy. Phyllis regretted that she hadn't been as ruthless as Victoria. Faith's classmates continued to torment her. Lola and Faith bonded. Elena cheered Nate up after he learned he'd likely never perform surgery again.
