Sonya Eddy

Growing up in Concord, CA, Ms. Eddy went to UC Davis, where she double-majored in English and African-American studies, with a minor in Dramatic Arts. After college, her acting debut was in the West Coast premiere of Ruby Dee's Zora Is My Name, in which she played a number of characters. Other roles followed, including Courtesan in Comedy of Errors, The Witch in Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods and Bloody Mary in Rogers and Hammerstein's classic South Pacific. Fior the latter she won an Arty Award.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Ms. Eddy's acting career has taken off with many additional credits, including the television series CSI, In Case of Emergency, Everybody Hates Chris, Monk, ER, Joan of Arcadia, Seinfeld and The Drew Carey Show, among many others. Her feature film appearances include Coach Carter, Bad News Bears, Barbershop and Daddy Daycare.
Among Ms. Eddy's many special skills and talents, she is an accomplished improvisation and sketch artist, vocalist and voice-over artist.
She currently lives in Los Angeles.
