According to published reports, Shemar Moore's (Malcolm) contract with The Young and the Restless expires in August. The actor, who has been with the show since 1991, has previously stated that he would not renew his contract when it expired.
Now, however, Moore, who won the Outstanding Supporting Actor Emmy Award in May, has apparently changed his tune.
Moore was cast in the FOX show, "Celebrity." The show will not air in the fall season, but will air as a mid-season replacement series. That means that "Celebrity" could be seen sometime in January --- give or take a few months.
In addition to television work, Moore is also set to start filming the film Bruthas later this month. He also appears in "It's Goin' Down," due out later this year.
If Moore does renew with Y&R, he'll need to do a bit of juggling to fit his television series and movie roles into the picture. Moore explains, "I have to work the film around Y&R and Celebrity. But where's there's a will, there's a way."
