Tricia Cast Cast will depart Y&R in the New Year

According to a report in Soap Opera Digest, Tricia Cast (Nina) will continue to air on The Young and the Restless through early next year. The magazine cites inside sources that claim Cast will film her final episodes in late December. That would mean that her final on-screen date would come sometime around the middle of January.

As first reported in August, Tricia Cast asked to be released from her contract with The Young and the Restless. According to reports, Cast wanted off of daytime television to spend more time with Bat McGrath, the new man in her life.

Cast and McGrath were wed on July 20 at Nashville's Metro Courthouse, according to The Tennessean. McGrath is a country songwriter whose hits include the Wynonna Judd sung, "Come Some Rainy Day." Only a short time before that, Cast divorced Jack Allocco, her husband of 11 years.

Cast recently celebrated 14th years with The Young and the Restless, having joined the show in 1986.
