Though her scheduled appearance was originally designed to last four episodes, Shell Danielson (ex Dominique,
General Hospital) may be sticking around Genoa City a lot longer than that.
Danielson will appear on The Young and the Restless as Bunny Hutchison beginning February 21st. Danielson's name may be familiar to Y&R fans because the actress previously audition for a role on the show. When the casting department was looking to cast Amanda, Mackenzie's mom, Danielson was one of the actresses called in to audition. Amanda has still not been cast. The part of Bunny wasn't something that Danielson had expected or even auditioned for.
The talk that Danielson might become a permanent Genoa City resident came from behind the cameras at The Young and Restless. That doesn't mean that the veteran actress isn't hoping that the rumors might be true.
"This is an opportunity to get back out there," Danielson told Soap Opera Digest, though the actress admits that most soaps are looking for "real young actors" at this time.
