If one reads into the results of this year's The Young and the Restless edition of the Soap Opera Central awards, one might be able to figure out exactly why Y&R has been the top-rated soap opera for so many years. Twelve different performers were awarded Dankies awards this year - a mark that sets a record among all soap balloting. In fact, only one performer earned more than one award this year.
