Newcomer Cast as Scott Grainger

by Dan J Kroll

Newcomer Blair Redford will join the cast of The Young and the Restless this month as Scott Grainger, the long forgotten son of Lauren Fenmore.

Scott (then-Scotty) Grainger was first introduced as a character on the Y&R canvas back in 1991. Nurse Sheila Carter pulled off a baby swap, switching Scotty for a baby she had purchased on the black market. Sheila claimed the child as her own for nearly a year before the truth was ultimately revealed. Scott was then reunited with his mother, but quickly shipped off to boarding school where he has presumably been ever since.

As mentioned in a related article by soapcentral.com, Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter) will be returning to The Young and the Restless in August. The return of Scott Grainger is helping to facilitate Brown's reintroduction into the cast.

Redford debuts Friday, July 22nd.
