There are new details on one of The Young and the Restless' new characters, Tyler. The character is related to a character already on-screen. Meanwhile, a first airdate has been announced for actor Redaric Williams.
More information is trickling in about one of Y&R's latest hires, Redaric Williams. The actor now has a first airdate -- and his character has ties to at least one character already on the canvas.
As previously reported, Williams has been hired for the role of Tyler. Until now, the character's last name was a bit of a mystery. As it turns out, Tyler is Leslie Michaelson's little brother.
When the casting breakdown for Tyler was first released, it was also hinted that Tyler was Sarge's nephew. That information came from an audition video posted by Williams on YouTube. That video has since been removed.
Other information from the casting notice described Tyler as an "African American male. Late 20s to early 30s. Orphaned at 16. Worked his way through college and now has an MBA. He's driven to succeed. Smart, energetic. Well-read. Smoothly sexy and confident, with a witty, sometimes cynical sense of humor."
Tyler is expected to throw a wrench into Cane and Lily's relationship.
Williams is an international model and a newcomer to the world of daytime. He will first air on December 14.
