Y&R alum Scott Elrod joins Chicago Fire

The Young and the Restless' Scott Elrod (ex-Joe Clark) is heading to Chicago Fire for a multi-episode arc.

Life has been good for The Young and the Restless' Scott Elrod (ex-Joe Clark) since he left Genoa City. First he landed a role on the über popular series Grey's Anatomy, and now comes word he has booked Chicago Fire.

The actor will be playing Travis Brenner, a "drop dead gorgeous" lifestyle celebrity with a million Instagram followers, for a multi-episode story arc during season five of the series, TV Line reports.

"He and Severide cross paths on a fire call, after which the rescue squad lieutenant is tempted to join Brenner's fast-paced inner circle," the outlet teases, with executive producer Derek Haas adding, "He's going to cause some mischief."
