Jensen Buchanan's arraignment for DUI case continued

Daytime star Jensen Buchanan appeared in court this summer to face charges stemming from a DUI accident in May.

Soap star Jensen Buchanan, (ex-Elise Moxley, The Young and the Restless; ex-Melissa Bedford, General Hospital; ex-Marley McKinnon, Another World) who was charged with felony driving under the influence in a head-on collision earlier this spring, is slated to appear in court this fall. The actress had lawyers appear for her in court last week for her arraignment, which has now been continued to next month in Santa Maria Superior Court.

According to the Santa Maria Times, for a third time, Buchanan did not enter a plea on the charges stemming from the vehicle crash on May 18, when she allegedly got behind the wheel of her Mercedes S550 with a blood alcohol level of 0.34, drifted across double yellow lines, and drove directly into the path of a white Ford C-Max on Highway 154, causing "major injuries" to its driver, 56-year-old Bradley Asolas of Camarillo.

Santa Barbara County Deputy District Attorney Tiffany Dix, who is prosecuting the case, says Buchanan is still wearing a SCRAM (electronic monitoring) ankle bracelet and is currently in sober living. Her next court date is scheduled for October 14.
