Y&R and DAYS star Eileen Davidson injured, gets the boot

The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives star Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott, YR) has been knocked off her feet by an injury.

Daytime star Eileen Davidson won't be strutting around in high heels for quite some time due to an accident she suffered while in Florida.

The actress revealed she is currently recovering from a broken toe that has left her entire foot in a medical boot.

"Florida gave me the boot. #brokentoe" she posted to Instagram along with a photo of the not-so-nice injury.

Though the actress herself hasn't said whether or not her foot issue will affect her work as The Young and the Restless' Ashley Abbott and her work as a mystery character on Days of our Lives, it isn't likely to interfere with filming. Even though wearing a medical boot makes walking and moving around a bit awkward, she can probably still keep working as long as she's careful not to bump her foot, which could slow the bone healing process.

Either way, we can imagine that not being able to be fully mobile could be quite frustrating for Davidson, who's used to keeping herself quite busy. Not only is she currently filming for both Y&R and DAYS, but she also just recently finished a several-year stint on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Our Dan J Kroll mused on Twitter that Davidson's injury was probably the one thing that could not be blamed on Y&R character Graham Bloodworth, played by Max Shippee. Shippee quickly responded in character -- and then as a friend and costar of Davidson.

As for the mystery aspect of Davidson's DAYS role, the wait will soon be over. She's scheduled to make her return this November, and viewers will finally learn if she has reprised the role of Kristen DiMera or Kristen's look-alike, Susan Banks, or if she will playing a brand-new Salemite under the direction of the show's new head writer, Ron Carlivati.
