A familiar face will soon be heading to Genoa City. Primetime star Mark Taylor has landed a role on The Young and the Restless, a career move he was proud to share on social media.

What a warm welcomer. Thank you Loren!"

Lott also shared news of Taylor's Y&R casting on Instagram. The young actress was thrilled to see him on set at the CBS soap opera, sharing that she recognized him from the Tia and Tamara Mowry film Seventeen Again.

"YALL. So like last month or so I walk into hair and makeup and see this man getting coffee and I though, 'That looks like the fine grandpa from Seventeen Again.' But I thought, 'Nah.' Then I thought, 'I'M ON A FREAKIN TV SHOW, THAT COULD TOTALLY BE HIM!' And guess what? IT WAS and I acted so lame y'all. I like stalked him on set so I could calmly get a picture at a 'natural moment.' I was so excited to meet one of my childhood all-time faves."

She continues: "He was so sweet with me and literally hung out with me until I had to shoot -- partially by force but whatever, lol. Now we are completely friends and he's the homie and such a sweetheart... I'm grateful."

YALL. so like last month or so I walk into hair and makeup and see this man getting coffee and I thought "that looks like the fine grandpa from 17 Again" but I thought nah. Then I thought IM ON A FREAKIN TV SHOW THAT COULD TOTALLY BE HIM! and guess what IT WAS and I acted so lame y'all. I like stalked him on set so I could calmly get a picture at a "natural moment" I was so excited to meet one of my child hood all time faves. Then I had to call a few homegirls who gushed over him as young girls too so we could celebrate my success. I truly thought I was gonna die lol I asked him EVERY question I had lol. He was so sweet with me and literally hung out with me until I had to shoot. Partially by force but whatever. Lol Now we are completely friends and he's the homie and such a sweetheart. I can't wait to embarrass myself and become friends with more of my childhood crushes as my career grows lol. I'm grateful 🙌🏾🎬 #GrandpaGene For y'all askin I tagged him in the pic. But his ig is @therealmarktaylor7
