The Young and the Restless is giving fans a truly "gloriaus" return: Judith Chapman is reprising her role as Gloria Fisher.

No pre-Halloween tricks here, The Young and the Restless fans -- just a super delightful treat. Judith Chapman is heading back to Genoa City as her fan-favorite character, Gloria Fisher.

Soap Opera Digest reports that the actress will be stepping back into the shoes of Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Michael's (Christian LeBlanc) melodramatic mama sometime in October. Unfortunately, specific storyline details surrounding her return remain hush-hush at this time.

Just this summer, Chapman revealed that although she was supremely disappointed in Y&R's decision to phase out her character -- twice -- she would always keep an open mind about returning.

"I thought I would finish my theatrical, film, television career at Y&R. So, when they phased me out the first time, it was gut-wrenching, and then, when I went back, it was great, and then they started phasing me out again!" she shared in June. "So, would I say, 'Yeah, burn me once, twice, what the hell? Yeah, I'm back,' [I would] because it's a great job, and it's an American iconic storytelling venue, and yes, we do need to stay on the air, we do."

Chapman first took on the role of Y&R's Gloria in 2005 and was last seen on the canvas of the CBS soap opera in 2018. Funny enough, she had a short stint as Diana Cooper -- a.k.a. Diana Colville -- on Days of our Lives in 2019 at the same time that her Y&R son, Rikaart, was starring on the NBC soap opera as Diana's son, Leo Stark.

Chapman's other soap credits include General Hospital (ex-Ginny Blake Webber), Ryan's Hope (ex-Charlotte Greer), As the World Turns (ex-Natalie Hughes), and One Life to Live (ex-Sandra Montaigne).
