Peter Bergman joined the cast of "The Young and the Restless" in 1989, taking over the
role of corporate bad boy, Jack Abbott.
Born in Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Peter's father was in the U.S. Navy and his family moved a whopping 9 times before Peter entered eighth grade.
Peter attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York before breaking into daytime in 1979
as the popular Dr. Cliff Warner on "All My Children." In 1986, he also starred in a cough syrup commercial where he
uttered the immortal words, "I am not a doctor, but I play one on TV."
During his free time, Peter enjoys playing the piano and coaching his children's various sports teams.
