Genoa City Presence

Tom Fisher (April 7th, 2005 to Present)

At a Glance

Born in Topeka, Kansas and raised in Kensington, Maryland, Born spent two years at Boston University pursuing a degree in theater. His classmates included Alfre Woodard and Paul Reubens (aka Pee Wee Herman). Further study includes training under Uta Hagen at the H.B. Studios.

Born's impressive credits include his recent role as Nick Rivers on "The City," an Emmy-nominated portrayal of Robert Barr on "Santa Barbara," his popular stint as Mitch Laurence on "One Life to Live," and his role as Joe Novack on "Ryan's Hope." Additionally, Born has co-starred with "All My Children" star Susan Lucci in the ABC movie for television, "Lady Mobster," and was a series regular with Morgan Fairchild on the ABC series, "Paper Dolls." Born and Fairchild also worked together in the cable television movie, "The Haunting of Sarah Hardy."

A committed activist against illiteracy, Born devotes his spare time being a "book pal," reading to second and third graders of Manhattan's P.S. 11 elementary school. Other work with reading includes reading to the blind at the Braille Institute of New York and the Lions Center for the Blind in Oakland, California.
