All My Children vets Bobbie Eakes and Walt Willey reunited on stage at the 2013 Miss Virginia pageant and celebrated the occasion with the aptly soapy song, "The Lady Is a Tramp."
Multi-talented Bobbie Eakes (Krystal Carey, All My Children, and Macy Alexander, The Bold and the Beautiful) has signed on to play Courtney Parish, a television network's Vice President of Daytime Programming on the new online series, Tainted Dreams. She joins an extensive list of actors, mainly from the soap world, who have already begun filming. According to Sonia Blangiardo, creator and executive producer of the new soap, Eakes's character will be strong and powerful, though a last-minute decision changes her life. Her on-screen husband, Eddie, is played by One Life to Live's James DePaiva (Max Holden).
Eakes has done extensive work on primetime TV as well as daytime, and has performed in various arenas as a singer. She won a job as lead singer for an all-girl rock band, Big Trouble, and performed on Dick Clark's American Bandstand in the mid 80s. She toured with this group for three years. In the 90s, she achieved mega-star status in Europe after recording two CDs with her BB co-star Jeff Trachta (Thorne Forrester) on a European label that achieved double-platinum sales. The duo toured Europe and performed in front of thousands of fans.
In 2001, Eakes (who was signed to Sony Nashville) had the chance of a lifetime to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, after recording a duet with country star Collin Raye.
She begins filming July 30. The soap will film in and around New York City for approximately two weeks.
