Robin Mattson
January 2007
Soap veteran Robin Mattson (ex-Janet Green, AMC) will join the cast of As the World Turns next month. The short-term stint in Oakdale will mark a return to daytime television for the Emmy-nominated actress. Mattson will appear in the newly-created role of Cheri, who is described by a showsperson as "a woman who gives Emily a run for her money."
Cady McClain
January 2007
In a stunning casting move that is sure to draw fire from more than a few fans, All My Children has released Cady McClain (Dixie Martin) from the show. While this is not the first time that McClain and the show have parted ways, it will more than likely be their final split: Dixie will fall victim to the Satin Slayer.
Brian Gaskill
January 2007
It's been about a year since his last daytime gig, but former AMC star Brian Gaskill '(ex-Bobby Warner) is headed back to daytime for another go around on a Procter & Gamble produced soap. The actor is joining the cast of Guiding Light, as the show makes the surprising role to recast what will no doubt be a central role.
Cady McClain
February 2007
Her silence has been broken. In a recent post on her official web site, two-time Emmy winner Cady McClain (Dixie Martin) broke her silence about her unceremonious firing from All My Children late last year.
Julia Barr
February 2007
Though nothing has been confirmed by any of the parties involved - and Soap Central readers should remember that Internet rumors do not always prove reliable - there is a growing wave of speculation that Julia Barr (Brooke English) could be returning to AMC later this year.

Rebecca Budig
March 2007
All My Children is moving ahead with plans to recast the role of Greenlee Smythe -- despite being unable to re-sign the actress who originated the role. Further complicating the issue is that a seemingly perfect candidate for the role of Greenlee is already on the show.
Eden Riegel
April 2007
All My Children will lose its only two members of the sexual minority community this month when fan-favorite Eden Riegel (Bianca Montgomery) and Jeffrey Carlson (Zarf/Zoey) exit the show. Neither performer was fired; both opted not to renew their short-term contracts with the show.
Cady McClain
May 2007
Cady McClain is returning to daytime television. While fans of both All My Children and As the World Turns have been speculating that the actress would return to their respective shows, it was quite obvious that McClain could return to only one show. And there was always the possibility that McClain would opt for a new role on an entirely different show.
All My Children
May 2007
All My Children has finally named the successor to ousted head writer Megan McTavish. And actually, it is successors -- plural. The ABC has tapped the writing pair of Barbara J. Esensten and James Harmon Brown.
Justin Bruening
July 2007
Real-life couple Justin Bruening (Jamie Martin) and Alexa Havins (Babe Carey) are both expected to exit All My Children by the end of the year. Bruening has already taped his final scenes with the ABC soap and Havins is expected to exit when her contact expires later this year.
Kelli Giddish
July 2007
Two years ago,Kelli Giddish (Di Henry) took All My Children by storm. Her character was revealed - or rather believed - to be the supposedly-dead Dixie Martin. But that storm quickly fizzled and Giddish's character was relegated to the back burner. Now, the show and the actress have agreed to part ways.
Billy Miller
August 2007
With the exit of one of the show's young heartthrobs, All My Children is poised to up the hunk factor with the addition of two newcomers. Both new male performers will debut in the next few weeks.
Hunt Block
August 2007
Emmy-nominated Hunt Block will set up shop in Llanview for at least a little while later this year. The former As the World Turns star has also appeared on Guiding Light and All My Children.
Cameron Mathison
September 2007
An All My Children star has joined the roster for the latest round of ABC's Dancing With the Stars. Several other celebs with daytime ties were expected to be dancing it up too -- but it was all part of an Internet ruse.
Alexa Havins
September 2007
Alexa Havins will leave All My Children this fall and join her real-life hubby Justin Bruening on the West Coast. Bruening exited AMC last month and Havins will exit in October. The actress joined the show in October 2003.
Kate Collins
October 2007
All My Children is preparing for the return of some of its well-loved characters from the past. Just who they are is still anyone's guess -- and we're not telling just yet. But first up is the return of Janet "From Another Planet" Green.
Celine Dion
November 2007
Celine Dion will visit the fictional town of Pine Valley to chat it up with Erica Kane and promote her new album, Taking Chances. Dion is the latest pop star to make an appearance on daytime television. Dion's performance is scheduled for the end of November.
Cady McClain
November 2007
Cady McClain has announced that she will be exiting As the World Turns earlier than expected. The news has ATWT fans in an uproar, but fans of All My Children are hoping that the Emmy winning-actress will make a return to their show.
Marcus Patrick
November 2007
Hunky Marcus Patrick is out of another soap -- his second lost job in a little over a year. The actor's mysterious dismissal comes a few months after he posted naked for a magazine. He previously appeared on All My Children for three months.
Rebecca Budig
December 2007
While ABC remains tight-lipped, Soap Central has learned that Sabine Singh has been let go from All My Children. The daytime newcomer was hired earlier this year to play the role of Greenlee Smythe on the ABC soap. Rebecca Budig will return top the role in 2008.
