Josh Duhamel headed back to television

All My Children alum Josh Duhamel strikes again in new CBS series premiering this March.

There's good news for those of you who can't get enough of former All My Children actor Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo duPres). He'll be starring in a new CBS drama this spring.

The North Dakota native has seen his fair share of success since departing Pine Valley twelve years ago, starring in movies such as Transformers, The Romantics, and Life As We Know It, as well as television series like Las Vegas. And now he's taking on the role of Special Agent Milton Chamberlain in the new CBS drama Battle Creek.

From Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and House creator David Shore, Battle Creek follows Chamberlain (Duhamel) and Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters), mismatched law enforcement officers who work together to clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan -- despite the frustration, cynicism, and guile between them.

Kal Penn, Janet McTeer, and Guiding Light's Aubrey Dollar (ex-Marina Cooper) have also been cast in the show.

Duhamel will celebrate his sixth wedding anniversary in January. He and pop star Fergie welcomed their first child, son Axl Jack, on August 29, 2013.

CBS ordered 13 episodes of Battle Creek way back in March, but now the series finally has a premiere date and time: Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 10:00 p.m.
