AMC's Josh Duhamel returns to Transformers franchise

All My Children alum Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo du Pres) is set to reprise his role in the fifth installment of the Transformers film series.

Get ready for a little "more than meets the eye," because All My Children alum Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo du Pres) is returning to the Transformers film franchise.

After having appeared as army officer William Lennox in 2007's Transformers, 2009's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon, he sat out 2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction, which introduced Mark Wahlberg to the franchise. But Duhamel will be back for the latest installment, Transformers: The Last Knight.

Director Michael Bay took to Twitter with an official confirmation, jokingly asking Duhamel, "Do you remember your way around set or do you need some pointers?" to which Duhamel responded, "Great to be back. I think I remember... the big trailer's mine, right?"

Wahlberg also congratulated the actor on re-joining the franchise. "Welcome back to the #transformers family," he wrote. "This is gonna be good."

Transformers: The Last Knight is scheduled to hit the big screen on June 23, 2017.
