All My Children alum Cady McClain (ex-Dixie Cooney) won big at the Soho International Film Festival, nabbing the audience award for best feature film for her documentary, Seeing Is Believing: Women Direct.

All My Children alum Cady McClain (ex-Dixie Cooney; ex-Kelly Andrews, The Young and the Restless; ex-Rosanna Cabot, As the World Turns) is making quite a splash with her documentary, Seeing Is Believing: Women Direct. Not only has she achieved critical acclaim for the moving film, but she also just took home the audience award for best feature at the SOHO International Film Festival.

McClain spent the better part of last year, traveling the globe, speaking to female directors of film and television, and documenting their stories. The outcome is a serialized documentary that provides insider access to the skills and tools needed to succeed as a woman in the directing field. Considering all aspects of the directing experience, the series shows how these women drive through obstacles creative, cultural, and professional. The documentary is also intended to serve as peer-to-peer mentorship for anyone of any gender looking for guidance and real world experience as they pursue their dreams of becoming a visual storyteller.

The SOHO International Film Festival celebrates cutting-edge digital technology while honoring traditional forms of storytelling. The festival also aims to encourage new and seasoned filmmakers all over the world to create and send in fresh cinematic pieces.
