Former All My Children star Matt Borlenghi (ex-Brian Bodine) is "grateful" for his new leading role on Dead Silent, a psychological thriller series by Investigation Discovery.

It's been a long time since Matt Borlenghi starred as Kelly Ripa's love interest Brian Bodine on All My Children, but that doesn't mean his fans aren't just as crazy about him as they were during his Pine Valley days. And that's why excitement is high over his latest role as a lead in Investigation Discovery's Dead Silent.

The California native's management company originally broke the news, which he retweeted along with a hashtag that indicated he's grateful for the opportunity.

The actor has shared a few behind-the-scenes photos of himself on set in Georgia, where the series films. He also reveals he plays a detective on the show where myth, urban legend, and horror collide with real-life killers.

In addition to his AMC role, Borlenghi has appeared as The Bold and the Beautiful's Ziggy Deadmarsh and Days of our Lives' Mayor Anthony Marino, as well as on shows like Castle and Mistresses. He juggles his acting roles with a career as a luxury car salesman. For a teaser that shows what fans can expect from Dead Silent, check out the video below.

In other Borlenghi news, the actor can now be seen in the thriller Jack Rio, directed by The Bay's Gergori J. Martin and costarring Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon Sharpe, B&B), Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane, DAYS), James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine, General Hospital), and Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio, GH). The film was made several years ago and was just picked up for distribution by LANY Entertainment. Check out how you can view the soap-star-studded psychological thriller here.
