Zach and Aidan are at the marina where Greg's yacht was kept. Zach informs Aidan that Greg has an offshore account in the Cayman Islands. Aidan steps away to see what he can find out about the account. While Aidan tracks the account, Zach tries to get information about Greg's yacht. When Aidan returns to where Zach is waiting they exchange information. Aidan tells Zach that Greg's account funnels money to a private corporation by the name of RG. Zach tells Aidan that he learned that the night Kendall disappeared, Greg's yacht set sail but unfortunately they were not required to inform anyone of their destination. Later, Zach learns that the yacht, The Generation, has returned to the marina. Zach buys the captain of the yacht some drinks in the hoping of gaining information but is unsuccessful. As the captain is walking away, Zach notices that his jacket has the logo of RG on the back. Zach remembers seeing a brochure for RG Spas in Greg's office.

Ryan explains to Julia why he's so desperate to find Kendall. He's worried that she will have the baby and give it up for adoption before he can find her. His fear is that if Kendall gives the baby away, he will never be able to get him back. Julia promises to help him get the information from Greg.

Erica slaps Greg and calls him a sick pervert. She warns him never to proposition her again. Greg is without remorse. He is certain that eventually Erica will realize that she is meant to be with him. Erica is disgusted. She demands to know where Kendall is. Greg refuses to tell her. He keeps talking about Josh and how he is happy that she is the mother of his son. Greg starts talking about Josh in such a way that Erica is forced to remind him that he is not his biological father. The qualities that Greg is describing were inherited from Jeff Martin, Josh's biological father, not Greg. Greg dismisses Erica's observation. He tells her that it was nurture not biology that made Josh the way he is. Erica drops the subject and once again questions Greg about Kendall. She threatens to kill Greg if he doesn't immediately tell her where Erica is but Greg ignores her threat. Things escalate until Erica is screaming at Greg. Ryan overhears the commotion and walks into Greg's office just in time to pull Erica away from Greg before she attacks him. Ryan and Erica work together to try to get Greg to tell them where Kendall is but to no avail. Greg insists that he has no idea where Kendall went to. Julia soon joins them. She confronts Greg with the lie he told her about not being able to have children. Greg pretends to not know what she's talking about. Just then Joe walks in. Julia tells Joe about Greg lie while Greg accuses Julia of being confused. Eventually Joe has Julia's records brought in. Everyone is surprised when they reveal that Julia came to see Greg because she thought she couldn't have children due to an inoperable fibroid cyst. Julia denies any such thing. Joe finds it curious that Greg's notes are so detailed. Doctors usually make brief notes which they have typed up. Greg's are handwritten and read more like a legal brief. Greg explains to Joe that he believes in being thorough. Without any contradictory evidence, Joe has no choice but to accept that Greg did not lie to Julia about her infertility. After Joe, Julia and Greg leave the office, Ryan and Erica are left alone. Erica tells Ryan that she realizes now that she has no choice but to go public with the truth that Josh is her son.

JR opens the crate he thinks his antique is in but before he can pull out the packing straw inside, Josh and another man rush through the cargo area on a medical emergency. JR and Babe follow, curious about what could be happening. A short while later, JR and Babe return along with an airport employee. When they return to the crate they opened, the man points out that he's opening the wrong crate. The crate he opened is scheduled to ship to Uzbekistan. He points to the correct crate and while JR and Babe start to open it, the man reseals the first crate. Dixie is still inside and unconscious. A short while later, Josh walks through. He apologizes to Babe for rushing through earlier, explaining that they were dropping off a liver for an organ transplant. Babe is understanding until Josh starts talking about JR. Things get heated between the two men forcing Babe to drag JR out of the cargo area before they escalate any further. Josh is about to leave as well but stops when he hears a noise coming out of the crate bound for Uzbekistan. He quickly opens it and discovers Dixie inside. He checks her out and tells her that she seems to be ok. He offers to take her to the hospital to make certain there aren't any lingering effects from being trapped inside the crate. Dixie declines the offer. She has Josh take her to the casino, where she is staying. When they arrive, Josh tries to invite Dixie out for dinner but she declines. She makes it clear that she isn't interested in him. Josh is disappointed but decides to stay.

While Tad and Adam fight, David walks in and picks up the gun that Tad knocked away. They immediately stop struggling with each other when they realize that David is pointing a gun at them. David threatens to shoot both men. Tad is more worried about Dixie and accuses Adam of possibly killing her. Adam scoffs that the suggestion. He tells Tad and David that Dixie isn't dead. She left of her own free will. Tad points out that if that were the case then she would have taken her clothes with her. She didn't. Dixie's clothes are still in the room. The three men continue to argue until Dixie walks in just in time to hear David once again threaten to kill both men. She tells David to put the gun down. When David complies, Dixie begins to yell at Adam for putting her in a crate bound for Uzbekistan. Adam expresses not the least bit of remorse. He feels he was perfectly justified to do that to her if it meant sparing JR the misery he will feel if he should learn that his mother is really alive. Dixie throws Adam and David out of her room but asks Tad to stay. He does. When they are alone, Dixie explains that she wanted to talk to him because she needs advice. She knows that Tad is more of a father to JR than Adam ever will be and she needs to know how best to tell JR that she is alive. Tad asks her why she feels so compelled to tell JR the truth after all of this time. Dixie admits that it's because Tad knows she's alive. She can't ask Tad to lie for her and knows that even if Tad tried lying, he wouldn't be able to keep the truth from JR for long. Tad finds it ironic that Dixie knows him so well when he doesn't know her at all. He advises her to be honest with JR and walks out of her room.

Downstairs in the casino, David calls Babe. He tells her that it's urgent that he sees her and JR immediately. Babe is reluctant but David is persistent. He explains that he is going to be leaving town and he doesn't know when or if he will be returning. He wants to give his daughter and her husband a wedding present before he leaves.

Dixie decides to go down to the bar where Josh is sitting and having a drink. He offers her a drink which she accepts. As they are talking, JR and Babe walk in. JR is shocked when he sees his mother.

At the casino, J.R. sees Dixie at the bar talking to Josh. Dixie dropped her drink as Josh offered to get rid of J.R. for her. David went up to J.R. and was just thrilled to tell him all about his mother. Dixie said that momma was home, but J.R. was dumbstruck. David asked J.R. how many times he had wished for this and Babe said it had to be a miracle. Dixie told him how much she missed and loved him. David wouldn't let up and told J.R. that Dixie wanted to stay "dead" and never wanted to tell him that she was alive. Dixie asked David how he could be so cruel and he said that no matter how cruel he was, it didn't compare to what she had done. Babe told David to back off but he wouldn't be quiet. David, who needed someone to stuff a sock in his mouth, told J.R. and Babe that everyone in PV knew that she was alive. Finally, J.R. came to and went with Dixie to her room at the casion. David put his hands on Babe's shoulders and she told him not to touch her and that he would regret what he just did. In Dixie's room, J.R. told her that David must have done something to her memory. Dixie said that although she was in a horrible accident, she remembered everything. She told J.R. that she went to his house today to tell him that she was back but he and Babe had gone to France. She said the only thing she wanted him to know was that she loved him. J.R. went to the bar and she told him not to drink. He gulped down the whiskey. J.R. told Dixie that four years ago when she walked out on him it was to find herself. He then asked who she was now because she sure was not his mother. Dixie reminded him that she was still his mother and always loved him. Dixie told him that she came back after the accident to make sure he was alright and she felt he was on the right track because he had gotten away from Adam. She said that she thought it was safe for her to go back to Europe since he was alright. Dixie said she stayed away because she was so ashamed. He of course asked what shame had come upon her but she said she couldn't tell him. J.R. said that she quit being his mother four years ago and the Dixie he knew really was dead.

Brooke dropped by to give Di an engagement gift. Del asked Brooke if he would give him first position in the new issue of Tempo for a blockbuster story. Brooke asked what the piece was about and he told her about Di and Dixie. Brooke couldn't believe what she had just heard and asked if Tad had seen Dixie. Di told Brooke that the wedding was off and that she still loved him. Di asked if Brooke could help her and Brooke replied, "Help you what, pack?" Di told Brooke that she didn't want to keep Dixie's secret and Brooke told her that she and her sister have done nothing but lied and ruined lives. Di told Brooke that the secret Dixie begged her to keep meant something her, but Brooke said that she thought that God would have forgiven her for telling the secret if it meant sparing a family all the heartache. Di said that when she made that promise, she had no idea that she would have met Dixie's family. Di told Brooke that she begged Dixie to tell them that she was alive but she refused. Di said that Tad and J.R. would probably never forgive her, but she wished she could lessen the blow. Brooke said maybe they could figure out a way to help them.

Tad came upon Stuart and told him the miraculous story of Dixie. Tad told Stuart that now nothing was the same. Tad related the story of the letter Dixie had written four years ago that said Dixie was pregnant with Kate and on her way back to him. Tad said that it wasn't that Dixie was dead and couldn't be with him, it was that she didn't want to be with him. Tad asked Stuart how was he going to explain to his sons that their mother was alive. Stuart asked Tad how his sons could forgive Dixie if he can't. Tad said that two days ago things were clear, but now that he found out Di lied again, what was he supposed to do now. Stuart told Tad that maybe the loss of Baby Kate played a role in keeping Dixie away. Tad said that Dixie had not mentioned Kate once since she had been back so that couldn't be the reason.

A shirtless Josh and Jamie (ooh la la) were playing a heated game of basketball. Josh told Jamie about what happened at the casino earlier and that Dixie was alive. Jamie didn't take the news well and began choking Josh. A sweaty Josh told a sweaty Jamie that Dixie was alive and J.R.'s face said it all. Josh told him Babe was there too and would back up the story. Jamie immediately ran off.

Krystal yells at Adam for trying to ship Dixie off to Uzbekistan in a crate. Adam isn't the least bit sorry. He lets her know that he would do it again if he had the chance because he wants to spare JR the pain of learning that Dixie had deceived him all of these years. As they are talking, Jamie walks in and tells them that he heard from Josh that Dixie is alive. Adam confirms the story and then tries to enlist Jamie's help to keep JR from finding out. Jamie informs him that he is too late. According to Josh, JR has returned to Pine Valley and not only saw Dixie but he spoke to her. Within a short time they are joined by Brooke, Di and Tad. Babe walks in a short time later and tells them that JR did not take the meeting well. He walked out after talking to Dixie and hasn't been seen since. Everyone starts to bicker. Tad is forced to drop a vase in order to gain their attention. They all decide to go look for JR in order to bring him home so that they can help him deal with things.

Babe and Jamie end up at the Roadside Bar but instead of finding JR they find David. Babe goes off on David, accusing him of hurting her by trying to destroy JR. David is unapologetic. Disgusted, Babe walks out of the bar. Jamie stays behind long enough to punch David in the mouth before he walks out and rejoins Babe in her search for JR.

Erin is surprised when she steps out onto the rooftop of Fusion and finds JR sitting on the ledge drinking champagne. He asks her to fetch Kendall for him but she can't. She explains that Kendall is not in the offices. JR shrugs and invites Erin to join him. Erin instead tries to get JR to leave the rooftop but he ignores her. As JR continues drinking he stands up on the ledge and does his impression of the scene in the movie "Titanic" where Jack yells out "I'm king of the world". Erin is relieved when JR finally steps down from the ledge and back onto the rooftop. JR startles her when he suddenly pulls her into his arms and plants a kiss on her lips. When he pulls away, JR apologizes for overstepping the boundaries. Erin is sympathetic when JR then starts talking about discovering that his mother is alive. While JR is rambling on about Dixie, he mentions Janet and specifically that her claims about Dixie turned out to be true. He wonders that means that she's also right about Babe. Aidan finds them on the rooftop and asks if there is a problem. JR gathers up his things and decides to leave.

Everyone gathers at the Chandler mansion after being unsuccessful in their search for JR. Tad asks where JR could be just as JR walks through the door.

Erica and Ryan discuss outing Greg. Ryan cautions Erica to think things through, reminding her that she hasn't even told Jack about her secret. As they are talking, Jack walks in and overhears the tail end of the conversation. He asks them what they were talking about. Ryan quickly covers for Erica and brings up the custody order he obtained. He points out that Kendall's disappearance was exactly what he was trying to prevent. Jack decides to check on Lily before continuing the discussion. A few minutes later he walks out and is upset that Lily has evidently slipped out of the house. He demands to know where Jonathan is. Ryan tries to reassure Jack that Jonathan knows to stay away from Lily. Jack decides to go to Ryan's apartment to make sure that Jonathan is not at that very moment with Lily. Erica urges Ryan to follow Jack, fearful of what Jack would do should he find Lily and Jonathan together.

Jonathan is surprised when Lily shows up on his doorstep. He is worried they both will get into trouble. Lily is more worried about their plans. She tells him that she realized that Jonathan's numbers don't add up and that in order to make it in Boston they will have to rent a studio apartment which will only have one bedroom. She is worried that she won't be able to sleep with Jonathan in the same bed and wants to try it out before they decide to move. Jonathan is reluctant. He offers to sleep in the bathtub until Lily is comfortable sharing a bed. Lily isn't appeased. She is determined to see if she could handle being in the same bed with Jonathan. She asks him if they can go into his bedroom and try it out. Jonathan doesn't want to. He thinks it's a bad idea because Ryan or Erin could walk through the door any moment. Lily will not take no for an answer and walks into his bedroom. She looks around and is pleased that he doesn't have anything red in his room. Jonathan enters but with hesitation. Lily then climbs into his bed and slips under to covers. Jonathan once again tries to talk Lily out of her plan but Lily refuses to change her mind. When she urges Jonathan to get into the bed, he does so but reluctantly. As they are laying in bed, Lily under the covers and Jonathan on top, Ryan and Jack walk into the apartment. Jack immediately recognizes Lily's purse and heads straight for Jonathan's bedroom where he finds Lily in bed with Jonathan.

Kendall is surprised to learn that all of the guests at Greg's spa are pregnant when three young women in various stages of pregnancy show up on her doorstep. As they all sit down to talk and get to know each other, Kendall learns that at least one of the women intends to give her child up for adoption to a couple that Greg found for her. Later, Kendall wakes up from a dream and is startled when she looks up.

Thursday, April 27, 2006

Greg makes a middle of the night visit to Kendall's room at ReGeneration. Slowly shaking herself free of sleep's grasp, she admits to thinking that her encounter with a group of pregnant women was all a dream. Greg tells her that it's all true - that he provided a place for her, and for life-givers like her, away from stress and the people that can't or won't understand their choices. She thanks him for what he'd done and asks if her family had started to freak out yet. Before he can answer her, his cell phone rings. He excuses himself to take the call, and finds Erica on the other end. She demands that he give up Kendall's location, and he says that he doesn't have any new information since they last spoke. She tells him that if he doesn't come clean soon, she will spill the beans to Josh. Greg insists that he can't help her and she reiterates that if he doesn't change his tune - life as he knows it will end. She slams the phone in his ear, and Greg silently closes the connection on his end, noting Erica's fierce devotion as he does. Greg invites her to stay for a few more days before going back to the agonies that await her in Pine Valley. He goes so far as to suggest that she could stay until she delivers her son. Kendall notes that his proposal seems more like his intention all along, and Greg tells her that he knew she would catch on. He tells her that if she chooses to stay, she will not only have the best care possible, she will have access to her favorite doctor. She lets on to her worries - what will she tell Ryan if she chooses to stay, and returns to Pine Valley without the baby? Greg insists they have plenty of time to deal with that but Kendall disagrees, reminding him of the lawyers and signed agreements that Ryan has in place. Greg offers to take Kendall back to Pine Valley straight away so that she might have a talk with Ryan and eliminate their impasse. Kendall fails to see the lure in that idea and they abandon the suggestion as quickly as it surfaced. Greg then takes the moment of opportunity to thank her for using the fact that she can grow a life within her to deliver a dream to a childless couple. She seems amazed that he really believes in his investment, but he tells her that what he actually believes in are the women residing at his resort.

A short time later, Kendall is back in bed, asleep, when a hand quickly covers her mouth. A muffled scream escapes but she is slowly turned over until she can see that it is Zach with her. Miffed, she asks how Zach found her, but instead of answering, he tells her that they need to leave. She refuses to go anywhere with him because she thinks she knows what he will say. He insists that he just wants to talk to her on neutral ground. She offers him a balcony to dive off of, but he invites her to join him elsewhere one more time, as a dare. Kendall tells him to go to hell, but Zach is more than used to her tactics. He tells her that she has a decision to make about the baby, and asks her what downside she sees to just the two of them talking, trying to work things out. The only thing she can come up with is that Zach won't leave her alone. He then asks her what she thinks he wants from her - it's not like he has any claim to the baby, so his motives aren't selfish. He then admits that he wants to make sure that when he looks into her eyes a year from now, he won't see regret. He asks her what she is afraid of but her only answer is that he is delusional. Zach tells her that he thinks that everyone that has been harassing her sucked the fire out of her, and that Madden bringing her to his retreat made her incapable of thinking. She clarifies that the resort is a place to de-stress away from people like Zach. Zach then proposes that she come away with him to talk, and then he will bring her back to the resort to stay as long as she likes. Tired of fighting, Kendall finally gives in.

Stunned at the scene before them, Ryan manages to get the first word in when he asks Jonathan why he is in bed with Lily. Jonathan tries to stammer out an explanation, but an angered Jack assumes the worst and doesn't want to hear anything Jonathan has to say. He tells Lily they will wait outside until she gets dressed, but she quickly rises from the bed and shows him that her clothes didn't come off. She then interjects that Jonathan wasn't at fault - and that they simply needed to practice sleeping together in preparation for moving in together. Jack starts to rush in, but Ryan manages to keep him at bay by begging Jonathan to admit that Lily didn't know what she was talking about. Not willing to be talked about in front of her face, Lily interrupts and tries to explain that their practice would be for when they live together in a studio apartment. With every word, Jack's blood pressure rises, so he attempts to stop her from talking. She starts to make a note about her birthday coming up but Jack reminds her that because she is not 18 yet, and because he is still her father, he can still tell her what to do. Ryan promises that he will take care of things on his end, and Jack says that he'd better. He and Lily leave, and Jonathan tries to justify what they did. Ryan explains that none of it matters because he promised not to see Lily. He asks his little brother how it is that he couldn't see what was wrong about what was doing. Jonathan tells him that his reasons are the same as the ones that keep both Ryan and Jack from understanding why Jonathan and Lily are good together. They head back downstairs, and Ryan tries to explain how hard it has been to deal with the fact that Jonathan won't let go of Lily. Jonathan tells his big brother that he has only caused pain for Ryan since he first arrived in Pine Valley. For that reason alone, he needs to get away and live his own life. Ryan relents slightly, and admits that as family, he wants Jonathan to stay with him. Jonathan reminds him that his son is family too, and that the only reason Kendall is resisting giving Ryan sole custody is because of Jonathan's psychotic past. He also notes that Lily needs to be more than just Jack's little girl with autism spectrum disorder. He tells Ryan that Lily has hopes for her future, and that Jack can't continue to believe otherwise. He tells Ryan that he and Lily want to live with each other and Ryan recoils. Ryan reminds Jonathan that it took Jack years to get where he is with Lily, and that he knows the amount of structure that she needs and the things that set Lily off. Jonathan claims to know them as well, and that he wants to continue knowing those things for the rest of his life. Finally, Ryan says that Jonathan having a relationship with Lily would be a mistake. Jonathan refutes his big brother's claim, noting that there is a possibility that Ryan, in his quest to want the best for someone's life, may make the wrong choice. Jonathan posits that perhaps what others think is best may not be best for the two main people affected. Ryan tries to say that if he could rid his life of all of the mistakes he'd made he would, but Jonathan interrupts him. He tells Ryan that the mark of a man is learning from mistakes made - and that he should be afforded that same opportunity. Ryan says that it's not just Jonathan's mistake - it would be Lily's as well. Ryan offers to invite Julia over in the hopes that perhaps an explanation in line with his life skills class would be helpful. Jonathan tells him that he can bring Julia over, as well as Aidan and Erin, and he promises to listen if Ryan will accept that one thing will not change. Hesitant, Ryan asks what it is. Jonathan tells him that he loves Lily, and his love is returned. He notes that Ryan has been in love before, and therefore should know that there is nothing that can keep love down for long. Ryan says that he knows something about love that Jonathan refuses to accept - that a love affair with Lily will hurt him. Jonathan solemnly accepts that, but says that he will never stop fighting for her.

Jack and Lily return home, Lily marches angrily into the living room, effectively telling Erica where she was. Jack harshly notes that they had agreed Lily wouldn't spend anymore time with Jonathan, and she retorts that Jack gave an order - one that she never said that she would comply with. Jack is infuriated that Lily isn't getting the meaning behind what he said. She immediately raises her hands to cover her ears, and only puts them down when Erica indicates that it's okay to do so. Jack apologizes, and tries to explain his frustration: that she used to understand that the rules he laid down were for her own good, and that now - it's clear he can't trust her. Harboring anger of her own, Lily tells him that she used to be able to trust him, but now it's apparent that he doesn't care about what she wants. She goes on to say that things will change once she turns 18. Jack tells her that the world won't become any safer and he won't stop worrying about her, no matter how old she is. She asks if it is because of her disorder, and he finally admits to it being his real reason. She takes it all in, and then Lily tells her father that in a week, she will no longer be a child with her disorder but an adult - and what he wants won't matter anymore. Tired of fighting, Lily asks if she can go to her room. Jack acquiesces, and she starts to leave. She stops short and tells Jack that she has done the research, and knows that once she turns 18, she will have the legal right to control her life. She walks out, leaving Jack mired in his aggravation. He picks up the phone and as he starts to dial, Erica begs him to hang up the phone if his intention is to shred Jonathan once again. He tells her that his plan is to send Lily back to boarding school as soon as possible. Erica takes the phone from him and insists that there has to be a better solution. Jack finds some amusement in Erica's pleas that he listen to his daughter's wants and needs, especially when she can't do the same. She says tells him that listening couldn't hurt. Set in his decision, Jack picks up the phone again and as he dials, he tells her that he knows what is best for his daughter and that everyone is just going to have to learn to accept it. He gets a hold of someone at the school and makes arrangements for Lily to come back. He concludes his phone call and asks Erica if she will be joining him in bed. She remains silent, and sullenly, Jack turns and leaves her alone in the living room.

JR returns home to a throng of people in his living room, visibly relieved that he is okay. His wife runs to embrace him while voices topple over one another, admitting that they know what happened and assuring him that he is loved and that everything will be okay. JR attempts to silence them all, saying that he is fine with what happened. Just then true silence blankets the room, and when JR turns to find out why, he sees his mother lurking in the archway. Before she attempts to steal her son away again, she apologizes to Jamie - saying that she never wanted to show herself in this way. Jamie tells her not to be concerned about him - he'll deal because his mom is always there for him. Taken slightly aback, Dixie refocuses on JR, begging him to join her on the terrace so that they could talk some more, and begin to get to know each other again. JR, however, is not interested, and instead invites his jet-lagged wife to join him in kissing their son goodnight and retiring. Before they leave, JR asks if she minds relinquishing the beloved necklace his mother gave to him years ago and then cups his hand around the trinket as Babe removes it from her neck. He steps toward Dixie and hands it back, making it clear that he wants as few connections to her as possible. Dixie is hesitant to take it, swearing that she can no longer claim ownership. She urges him to give it back to his wife or save it for his son - whatever he wants. He recalls the time when he gave the necklace to Tad when he was on his way to Switzerland - in hopes that they could all be together as a family again. Four years and a lot of pain later, he confirms that what he wants is to give the necklace, and perhaps some of the heartache, back to her. Sadly, she accepts. He then promises Babe hat he will replace it with something newer and better, and then takes a moment to thank everyone for their concern. He vows that once they manage to get past the weird feelings seeing Dixie's face brings up - the whole situation won't seem like such a big deal. At that moment, he takes his bride and heads up to bed. In his wake, Jamie notes aloud that his brother is right - Dixie's return was blown out of proportion, and that they should all just move on. He invites his father to join him in a beer, and when Tad accepts, they exit into the foyer. Once alone, Jamie admits that he just wanted to get his father alone to find out how he had been handling everything. Tad admits to the enormous amount of pain sitting on his chest, but is equally concerned about his son. Jamie quips that he'll just punch in a few walls and then he'll be fine. He then mentions how odd it is that after a year of being berated by JR, the mere thought of someone, especially Dixie, hurting his brother makes him want to lose control. Tad commiserates with him just before Jamie asks if Dixie clued him in as to her plans. Tad says that he doesn't know Dixie anymore, let alone what her plans are. They hug, and Tad sends his son on his way, promising to catch up with him later.

Back in the living room, Adam restates JR's wishes that Dixie leave, as she is not needed anymore. Brooke intervenes, saying that Dixie shouldn't be allowed to leave until she explains her reasons why she stayed away. Adam thinks it's obvious - she didn't care, but Krystal begs him to let Dixie clarify in her own words. Di adds that her sister owes it to her most of all - especially after she kept her secret, even when she knew it was wrong. Dixie manages to convey that she has nothing to offer, and Di, completely exasperated, demands that her sister find a way to make her motives clear. Dixie wastes no time in agreeing that her loved ones deserved no less. She then admits that she realizes the amount of pain that she caused people - but she doesn't think that she can come up with anything that will excuse her absence. The group, minus Adam, encourages her to find something because if she does, they will try to understand. As Tad lurks in the hall, listening in, they bombard her with possible scenarios that would explain why she stayed away. Nothing strikes a chord until Krystal asks what happened to her baby. Before she can find the words, Brooke explains to her the horrible day when she heard about the accident, and how she had to tell Tad that his beloved Dixie was gone. Brooke continues and talks about how Tad lost all hope after that - and because she, as the messenger, felt responsible, she demands that Dixie find the words. Finally, blinking back tears, Dixie admits that she after traveling halfway around the world, in an attempt to protect her daughter, she lost her anyway. Dixie then notes that the pain that those thoughts bring her is enough for her not to want to talk about any of it again. Adam is not moved, and tells her that if she has nothing more to offer, she can go. Dixie reminds Adam that she did not show up for him, but Adam notes that she can't have returned for JR because, as noted earlier, JR is fine. Dixie is astounded that Adam could be so deluded, that he could ignore the fact that their son is broken - and notes that she is not about to make that same mistake. Adam tries one final time to force her not only out of the house, but out of town - and suggests that she take David with her. Dixie tells the remaining four that she will not leave until she makes up for her mistakes. Adam doesn't think that she can do it but Dixie is determined to try. She goes to walk out but before she closes the door, she catches Tad's eye. They communicate silently for a moment, and then Dixie completes her exit. Brooke joins Tad in the foyer moments later, and they agree to track down Jamie, hug him, tell him that they love him, and mean it.

In the living room, Adam attacks Di and asks if she is happy at the way things have turned out. He tells her that for the way both she and Dixie treated JR after telling him that they love him, they can both rot in hell. Knowing that she deserves every one of his words, Di accepts them silently before taking her leave as well. Once gone, Adam strong frame crumples on to a chair, and Krystal is left with the task of comforting him.

JR and Babe go to their room after bidding their son good night, and all JR wants to do is take a shower. Babe begs him not to shut her out but instead, to take a moment and do what he needs to do to get his feelings out. JR tells her that he isn't feeling anything, so there's nothing to talk about. He tells her that he can't help but recall all the times Babe wore Dixie's necklace, feeling unworthy, only to find out that Dixie was nothing but a liar. Babe reminds him that Dixie is a part of him and that he loves him, but after a moment, JR tells her that the mother he loved died - and that doesn't come back. He tries to joke about it but Babe won't let him. She knows that there is pain buried deep inside that he is hiding. JR tries to insist that although he initially was left reeling, he ended up making the decision that he could get over his mother's return. The bottom line is that what he has in the now is better than what he missed for four years. Babe doesn't believe this lack of emotion, because she knows his heart - but JR doesn't give in. Looking into his eyes, Babe finally asks how much he had to drink. JR admits to the drinks he had, and says that given the events of the day, they should be excusable. Babe reminds him that everyone knows what alcohol does to him when he is in pain, but JR retorts that he didn't drink and drive or cause any additional pain to his family. Babe tells him that he doesn't need to drink - that anything and everything he could want for can be found with her. He quips that what he needs is a shower and wryly asks if he needs permission for that too. As she watches him dejectedly, JR fumbles his way into their bathroom. A short time later, JR joins his wife in bed, and she begs him to confirm that his drinking was a one-shot deal. She admits that she wouldn't be able to handle him falling down that hole of destruction again. JR tells her that all he needs is her, their son and their love - and everything will be all right. Content with his answer, she snuggles up to him after he turns out the lights. However, sleep eludes JR as he is haunted by Janet's taunting voice in his head. Knowing now that Janet was right about Dixie being alive, he starts to wonder if what she said about Babe will come true as well.

Dixie stops by to see JR but he's not at home. He's at the sanitarium to talk to Janet. When he tells her that he has discovered that his mother Dixie is alive, Janet is pleased. JR doesn't mince words. He wants to know everything that Babe said while they were in the cabin in regards to JR and their son. Janet shares her version of the truth. JR tries not to believe Janet. He tells Janet that Babe only said those things about leaving him just to humor Janet. Janet isn't so certain about his confidence. She points out that if he truly believed that then he wouldn't be there talking to her. Janet continues to plant the seeds of doubt before assuring him that she will always be loyal to him. JR isn't comforted. He leaves the sanitarium and ends up in the new wing of Fusion which is currently under construction. He is drinking. He has a fantasy of watching Babe being killed when the roof of the new wing collapses. Just then he hears Babe call out and quickly tucks his flask into the pocket of his jacket.

At the Chandler mansion, Babe confesses that she can't understand why Dixie did the things that he has. Dixie tells Babe that she's not there to explain herself to Babe, she there to see JR. Just then Jamie walks in. Angry, he demands answers but Dixie continues being vague. Jamie becomes frustrated with Dixie's silence. They lash out at each other. Dixie tells Jamie that she didn't think he was the type of person to sleep with his brother's wife. Jamie fires back and the tension escalates. Jamie decides to leave having said his peace to Dixie. After Jamie leaves, Babe offers Dixie advice. Give JR a good reason for her long absence, even if she has to lie. Later, Babe leaves for Fusion.

Greg becomes concerned when he discovers that Kendall is not in her suite at the spa. After he makes some calls one of his employees reports that a boat pulled out of the harbor a short while ago. Greg suspects that Kendall is on the boat. He quickly realizes that it's urgent for him to return to Pine Valley.

Kendall is furious when she realizes that the boat that Zach took her to is moving. Zach seems unconcerned and freely admits that he is kidnapping her. Kendall reminds him of his promise to return her after they had talked. Zach points out that they haven't talked yet so he hasn't broken any promises. Zach tries to get Kendall to call Erica to let her know that she is safe and well. Kendall is reluctant. She feels pressured by everyone including Zach. The way that he looks at her makes Kendall uncomfortable. Zach is open with Kendall. He tells her that he still loves her and always will. He apologizes to Kendall for everything that he put her through and the pain he has caused her. Zach then promises to always be there for her and to support her unconditionally.

Ryan finds Erica in Greg's office. She is worried about telling Josh the truth about Greg. She begs Ryan to tell her that he has found Kendall so she doesn't have to tell Josh anything. Ryan admits that he still hasn't located her but he's concerned about Erica's decision to tell Josh that she's his biological mother. He worries that Erica hasn't thought things through clearly especially the consequences. Ryan reminds her that she hasn't told Jack about it and when Kendall hears it she will be devastated that Erica didn't tell her sooner. Erica feels as if she has no other alternative. The need to find Kendall takes precedence over everything else. When Erica asks Ryan to find Josh for her, he agrees albeit reluctantly. Later Josh walks into Greg's office. He is aggravated when he sees Erica waiting for him. Erica makes a last ditch attempt to enlist his help to find Kendall but Josh remains completely loyal to his father. Resigned to telling him, Erica tries to lessen the blow by telling Josh that she has no problem ruining Greg but she finds it difficult knowing that in the process she would be destroying Josh. Erica haltingly begins her story but before she can tell him exactly what Greg did when she went to him to terminate her pregnancy Ryan rushes in. He announces that Kendall has called and is safe. Erica is thrilled. Josh is impatient. He wants to know what Erica was about to tell him before they were interrupted by Ryan. At that moment Greg steps into the doorway. He is greatly relieved when Erica backs down from telling Josh. She reminds Greg that Kendall dismissed him as her physician and warns him that she expects him to honor that decision. Greg agrees and is happy to see her leave his office. Josh demands answers from his father, but Greg refuses to give them. He does tell Josh that he doesn't regret anything in regards to Erica.

Outside of Greg's office Ryan fills Erica in on what happened with Kendall. When Ryan reveals that it was Zach who had tracked Kendall down to Greg's island and spirited her away onto Erica's stolen boat and is at that very moment bringing her home, Erica doesn't know whether to worry more or be relieved. She doesn't feel Zach is that much better than Greg. Ryan isn't so quick to agree, much to her surprise. He feels that Zach did what neither of them could. He found a way to bring Kendall home without harming people in the process. He also believes that Zach truly does love Kendall.

Dixie walks into Greg's office and informs him that everyone she loves has learned that she is alive. Greg no longer has anything to hold over Dixie's head. She cuts to the chase and demands to know where her daughter is or else she will expose him to the world.
