When Jujutsu Kaisen first exploded in popularity, few of us could have imagined that Gege Akutami would expand the universe in such a bold and experimental way. Yet here we are, with Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, a spin-off sequel that takes the world of cursed energy into uncharted territory. Unlike traditional continuations like Boruto or Dragon Ball GT, Modulo is not a direct extension of the main canon but instead a side story that explores what the future of sorcery could look like decades after Yuji Itadori and his friends shaped the world.

The premise itself, that aliens may share the same genetics and powers as sorcerers and that global politics surrounding cursed energy have shifted drastically since the Culling Game, already raises the stakes. But wouldn’t it be even more compelling if the descendants of legendary sorcerers emerged as key figures in this turbulent era? Their very existence would be living proof of how the main series’ struggles shaped the future.

With that in mind, here are 10 Jujutsu Kaisen characters whose descendants deserve to appear in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.

List of 10 Jujutsu Kaisen characters whose descendants should appear in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo

1) Itadori

This name is first on the list, as his name also made its way into the first few chapters of the spin-off series. Also, it would be entertaining to add a character who is the descendant of his bloodline, as Itadori can only be described as chaotic good energy.

As Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is currently following a timeline where the main cast are supposedly old or deceased, it means that they are unlikely to make an appearance. Additionally, a character who is descended from the Itaodri family will have similar values to him and would be like a tribute to Gojo.

2) Megumi

With Maki being married to Yuta, they took over the Gojo clan, and as it is confirmed that they had kids, the series ensured that the Zenin bloodline continued. So, Megumi having children would be a good addition to the story.

For one, they would be as disciplined as he is, and in every shonen series, we need one stoic character. Additionally, it would be a good ending to his life, as Megumi would have a chance to have a family he never had as a child.

3) Nobara

Nobara’s descendant can learn from her and be proud of her. Nobara herself has issues with her absent mother, so her descendants can be exactly like her, or she becomes the cool mom type. Regardless, it would be a smart choice to allow a strong character to make a comeback, even if it would not be possible to ensure she makes an appearance.

Moreover, whenever it came to talking about money or a big city, her character never lost a chance to make a humorous moment out of it. So, counting on the fact that stories usually keep similar traits into the next generation, it would be welcomed by fans.

4) Atsuya Kusakabe

While he was only a supporting character in Jujutsu Kaisen, it would be interesting to see his descendants. Moreover, his character trope of being someone fearful and only caring about staying alive is a good trope to add to the dynamic story of Modulo.

The spin-off series has already introduced some dangerous characters who are described as being a Sukuna-level threat, and not everyone can be fearless. The story needs a few characters who would exercise caution.

5) Shoko

With Maki and Yuta being confirmed deceased due to old age, there is a high chance that Shoko would not have survived in the current timeline. So her descendants can take over the story.

She was a key character in the life of Gojo and Geto, and by the end of the story, Shoko had lost everyone she felt close to. More than anything, it would be wholesome to see her descendants, as it would prove that she managed to find happiness in her life.

6) Todo

In Jujutsu Kaisen, Todo took pride in having a good relationship with Itadori Yuji. It was so excessive that he would chase him around like they were long-lost best friends.

To see his descendants in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo would itself be interesting, but if the creator decides to take the humorous dynamic between Itadori and Todo and make it a generational bond, it would be funny, to say the least.

7) Noritoshi Kamo

Noritoshi’s bloodline has always been one of the most infamous in the world of jujutsu, tied to both prestige and a dark history. Having his descendants appear in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo would open the door to exploring how the clan’s reputation evolved after the main series. A new Kamo descendant could either carry the weight of that cursed lineage or strive to redefine it entirely.

This would add depth to the generational themes of the spin-off, as fans would get to see whether the Kamo family remains bound by its sinister legacy or if a new branch of the family finally breaks free and earns honor among sorcerers.

8) Fumihiko Takaba

He undoubtedly has the power to bring anything to reality with his cursed energy. Additionally, Fumihiko is goofy. Right now, there isn’t a lot of information on where the story of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is heading, but it has surely been intense.

If there were someone like Fumihiko in the story who would have inherited similar power, humanity would have a good chance of fighting against aliens if they chose not to cohabitate with humans.

9) Hiromi Higuruma

Hiromi was one of the most complex characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, with his transition from a lawyer seeking justice to a sorcerer caught up in the Culling Game. A descendant of his would add an entirely new perspective to Modulo, especially if they inherited his sharp intellect and strong sense of morality.

While Higuruma was often torn between law and sorcery, his descendants could fully embrace both worlds, carrying on his cursed technique while also embodying his unwavering sense of justice.

10) Toge Inumaki

Inumaki’s cursed speech was both a blessing and a curse, shaping his role in the original story. His descendants would naturally be an exciting addition, especially if they carry the same technique.

Imagine a new character in Modulo who wields Inumaki’s power but perhaps has found new ways to refine or expand upon it. Beyond the abilities, Inumaki’s quiet yet loyal nature made him beloved, and his descendants could easily capture that same charm.

Final thoughts

What makes Modulo fascinating is its freedom. Akutami has already confirmed that most of the original cast will either be gone, long past their prime, or mentioned only in passing. The spotlight instead belongs to an entirely new generation of sorcerers, alien forces, and fresh conflicts that reshape the cursed energy landscape.

Yet, that doesn’t mean the legacy of the old guard should vanish completely. If anything, the idea of descendants inheriting techniques, philosophies, or even grudges adds richness to the narrative. Seeing how the sacrifices and battles of the Jujutsu Kaisen cast ripple across time could make Modulo feel both familiar and brand new.
