It makes the series fun to have these scenes, which offset some of the darker elements of the story.

Here are eight moments, among the funniest in Demon Slayer, that had fans hollering with laughter, sometimes in the middle of serious arcs.

Ranking of the moments in Demon Slayer

1. When Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu Float Around Rengoku

In the Mugen Train arc, right before things turn serious, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke get excited about Rengoku’s strength. The three boys float around him with sparkly eyes, completely amazed by his presence. They spin around him and look like little kids. Rengoku finally tells them that he is going to train them to be more like him.

It’s one of the funniest moments in Demon Slayer and perfect for emphasizing that the main trio are lovable characters. Their comical, over-the-top reactions, contrasting with Rengoku’s cool composure, give this scene extra flavor.

2. Giyu Tying Up Inosuke After the Rui Fight

In the battle on Mount Natagumo, Tanjiro and Inosuke fight the Father of the Spider Family. Tomioka Giyu, the Water Hashira, arrives at the scene and defeats Father with no stress. It was a hectic battle that left Inosuke injured. Seeing the strength of Giyu somehow made Inosuke energetic despite his injuries.

He challenges Giyu to a fight. But Giyu doesn’t entertain the nonsense. Instead, he ties Inosuke up without saying anything and leaves him hanging like a sack of rice. The timing of this moment is perfect. Inosuke was loud and ready for battle, but Giyu’s simple reaction ended the scene in a very funny way.

3. Inosuke on the Ceiling

In another memorable moment, after the battle with Rui and his “family,” they are transported to the Butterfly Mansion to rest. When Tanjiro woke up, Aoi and some others were with him and recounted how grave Insokue’s injuries were to him. Tanjiro believes that he is hallucinating as he sees Inosuke on the ceiling.

Instead of being like the others sitting or standing by Tanjiro’s bed, he hangs and looks down on a sleeping Tanjiro. The other caretakers in the Butterfly Mansion were all shocked to see him. It’s both random and hilarious. His strange behavior never fails to make fans laugh. Demon Slayer often uses his strange actions to add humor, and this scene is a perfect example of that.

4. Zenitsu’s First Time Using Thunder Breathing

Zenitsu is usually known for being scared and dramatic. But in his first real fight, he passes out and uses Thunder Breathing while unconscious. The shift from coward to powerful swordsman is both cool and funny. The best part is that Zenitsu had no idea what he had done afterward.

In his unconscious state, he uses the First Form of his Thunder Breathing, Thunderclap, and Flash, to decapitate the Tongue Demon. When he wakes up, he looks at Shoichi and calls him strong, believing that he killed the demon. His confusion and the way Shoichi reacts to his surprise attack make it funnier.

5. Haganezuka’s Reaction to Inosuke Chipping His Swords

When Inosuke gets his Nichirin swords, he takes a rock and starts chipping them to make them jagged. The swordsmith, Haganezuka, is horrified. He worked hard on those swords, and Inosuke ruined them in seconds. Haganezuka's shocked reaction is priceless.

We have seen Haganezuka get angry at Tanjiro before for breaking his. His anger, combined with Inosuke’s cluelessness, makes this moment very funny. Demon Slayer does a great job of showing how different characters care about things in their own way, and this clash of values creates the comedy here.

6. Nezuko Setting Tengen Uzui on Fire

During the Entertainment District arc, Tengen Uzui is seriously injured and appears to be dead. The poison in his body was too much for him, especially with no medical assistance. As everyone panics, Nezuko walks over and calmly sets him on fire using her Blood Demon Art. What’s shocking is that it works; Uzui wakes up.

Her pink flames removed the poison from his body. After she set him on fire, the reaction from his three wives was priceless. Nezuko just walked past them and set him on fire with no prior warning. It’s an odd way to save someone, but it fits perfectly with the strange moments Demon Slayer is known for. Fans were surprised but couldn’t help laughing.

7. Haganezuka Attacking Tanjiro for Breaking His Swords

Every time Tanjiro breaks or loses his sword, Haganezuka loses his mind. Instead of feeling sorry for Tanjiro, he chases him around and threatens him. It becomes a running joke throughout Demon Slayer. He is so passionate about his swords. Haganezuka believes that the sword breaking was because of the user, not the blade.

No matter how serious the battle was, Haganezuka only cares about the sword. His extreme reactions and the way Tanjiro tries to escape are always funny. The fact that it keeps happening makes it even better. Fans look forward to their crazy meetings every time.

8. Inosuke Showing His Flexibility

One of the weirdest and funniest scenes in Demon Slayer is when Inosuke starts showing off how flexible he is. All of a sudden, he bends over backwards until his chin touches the floor. Inosuke kept laughing, waiting for them to praise him. The other characters are both impressed and disturbed.

Inosuke is proud, and he was trying to show what else he could do. This moment is random but hilarious. And for the introduction of a character, this was awesome. From that moment, fans have kept their gaze on him, hoping for more goofy moments.

Conclusion

Demon Slayer has exactly the proper amount of humor mixed in with heartfelt moments and fierce fighting. Fans can take a break from the action and see a different side of the characters in these clips. The humor feels natural and adds to the charm of the story. These moments are one of the reasons why Demon Slayer became so mainstream.
