What to expect from Blue Lock chapter 314 part 2 (speculative)?

Blue Lock chapter 314 part 2 will likely begin by revealing that Chigiri’s incredible pass to Isagi is stopped by Onazi. The last installment hinted at a Nigerian player aiming to thwart the protagonist’s schemes.

While it is unlikely that Onazi’s actions stem from high intellect, the chapter may suggest otherwise. It could show that the Nigerian forward is motivated by his role as the core of his team, allowing him to surpass his limits through sheer physicality and willpower.

Chapter 314 part 2 may also highlight other Nigerian players who play an important role in the team, since only three have been properly introduced so far.

Blue Lock chapter 314 part 1 recap

As mentioned, Blue Lock chapter 314 part 1, titled Core (Part 1), is a short installment with only 10 pages. It picks up right after the previous chapter, where Rin’s shot at the goal was stopped by Onazi. Looking at the sequence of events, Aiku commented on how the Nigerians were using their physical superiority to create unbelievable passes, after which Onazi was entrusted with finishing.

In contrast, Japan’s ego-based football ensured that anyone could score, making it a battle between two offensive teams. Just as Aiku shouted for the second ball and Rin attempted to gather it, Oboabona headed it to the Nigerian captain, Kuso. However, even before Kuso could begin his counter, Isagi and Reo reacted and cut off his path.

Boxed in, Kuso made a desperate pass to Onazi but was intercepted by Karasu. Kuso realized that the Japanese players had started adapting to them, while the rest of the defense scrambled to stop their opponents. However, not wasting his chance, Karasu passed the ball to Chigiri, who was waiting on the other side.

Chigiri dashed up the sidelines with rapid speed before crossing the ball. While the Nigerian team were expecting it to go to Rin Itoshi, Isagi came out of nowhere and was ready to receive it. Chapter 314 part 1 ended as a mystery player prepared to jump after saying “nope” to Isagi’s claim that the ball was his.
