Boruto might awaken his Jogan soon, and it's closer than you think

The Boruto manga community has been quite active on the internet of late. The plot progression has been incredible, to say the least. Each chapter is packed with a ton of action, and the writers are doing a phenomenal job of building suspense. There exists a topic of discussion that has plagued the minds of every reader—the Jogan.

Much about the eye has been shrouded in mystery, and fans want to see its true potential. A fan theory has been floating around on the internet, and fans believe that Boruto will awaken the Jogan in the subsequent chapter. While this might seem like a shot in the dark, there are a few clues that support the claims made by fans.

It’s clear that Jura is far stronger than Boruto at the moment. The latter attempted to use Rasengan Uzuhiko, and its effects didn’t seem to have an impact on the Shinju entity. Therefore, he needs a massive power-up that could save him from this tough spot. One way to go about this is by awakening the Jogan. This would allow him to gain an advantage over Jura and defeat the Shinju leader.

Furthermore, there is another clue that was present on the cover of the latest chapter. Boruto’s outfit didn’t undergo any changes for a while. However, the latest chapter cover featured a change in the protagonist’s outfit.

His shirt is usually white in color, but the recent chapter featured a blue shirt. This could be a cryptic way of referencing the Jogan or the pure eye. The eye in question has a distinct blue-colored iris.

Masashi Kishimoto is known for employing such methods to foreshadow important moments. Additionally, the plot has reached the business end, and therefore, fans can expect massive developments in the coming chapters of the Two Blue Vortex series.

Boruto: How Jogan and Momoshiki could influence the fight against Jura

As mentioned earlier, the protagonist requires a substantial power-up to defeat Jura. It was implied that Rasengan Uzuhiko was his last resort attack to neutralize the threat. However, the Shinju leader managed to counteract its effects by understanding the principle of a Biju Bomb. Therefore, his attempt to thwart Jura was unsuccessful. We haven’t seen Jura attack his opponent with a serious attack.

If Jura approaches his opponent seriously, there is little to no hope for him. Kashin Koji and Eida are capable of seeing glimpses of future events. Neither of them thinks that the protagonist is capable of winning. Therefore, the sudden awakening of the Jogan might give him an edge. Momoshiki has been silent for far too long.

Given his importance to the plot, fans can expect his return to the story soon. If Momoshiki returns and takes control of Boruto’s body, then he could grant him enough powers to defeat Jura. He explicitly stated that he wouldn’t let anyone kill his precious vessel. It will be interesting to see how the protagonist will contain Momoshiki and prevent him from taking the reins.
