Dandadan Season 2 Episode 5 recap
Dandadan Season 2 Episode 5 began with an attempt by Seiko, Momo, and Manjiro to exorcise the Evil Eye, though they ultimately failed. Later, the entire group gathered at Seiko’s house and shared a meal while getting up to all sorts of antics.
Peeny-Weeny revealed that he had moved to Earth along with his son since the cow they had taken home wasn’t able to produce milk under extraterrestrial conditions. Meanwhile, Seiko and Manjiro tried to settle on a group of Hayashi performers to help separate the Evil Eye from Jiji.
Right then, Taro, who had sealed the Evil Eye, ate hot broth, after which the Evil Eye turned back into Jiji. Seiko theorized that hot water and cold water could result in a switch between Jiji and the Evil Eye. As a result, she ordered everyone to carry thermos flasks with hot water to help restrain Jiji till the exorcism.
The next day, the main cast headed toward the hospital to meet Jiji’s parents. On the car ride, Momo and Okarun’s romance started to blossom as the pair fiddled with each other’s hands. Once they reached the hospital, the strong front Jiji had put up came crumbling down, and he burst into tears while his parents embraced him.
Later, a news article revealed that the Kito family had been arrested for their crimes, though their leader, Naki, was on the run. The scene shifted to the criminal herself, who was shockingly unveiled to be a subterranean alien and not a human.

The next day, Momo and Okarun walked to school together, while Momo’s friends soon joined them and started discussing the volcano eruption. On the other hand, Aira, who was considered a liar by her class, was being isolated. However, Momo and Okarun came to her rescue and hung out with her.
Momo invited both Aira and Okarun to stay at her house to look after Jiji. While faking reluctance initially, both of them happily accepted. Dandadan Season 2 Episode 5 ended as the group that was staying over at Seiko’s house started enjoying a meal. Though initially a joyful gathering, a drop of soy sauce fell on Jiji, turning him into the destructive Evil Eye.
