Gyomei Himejima’s fate in Demon Slayer

Gyomei Himejima suffers from a terrible fate in the manga series. Towards the end of the manga series, Gyomei succumbs to his injuries. The damage he sustained from Muzan’s attacks was far too critical to be treated. Therefore, medical attention would not have saved his life. However, there was a beautiful moment of closure for this character. He was able to make peace with the fact that those children died under his care. Those children embraced him in his final moments, and he passed away with a smile on his face.

Only two Hashira were alive by the end of the Demon Slayer series. However, Gyomei wasn’t one of them, but he played an important role in defeating Kibutsuji Muzan. The Stone Hashira’s death did not go in vain, and he did everything he could to save people’s lives and give them a chance to live the lives they want.
